• Nothing like having them in your neighborhood, you know they are doing it. They have 12 people in an 800 square foot home, their 17 yr old daughter has two children already age 4/2, they have grown men riding bicycles and the minute they moved in bars went up on the doors and windows. Someone calls ICE and no one ever shows up to take them home where they belong... mexico! Call as many times as you like they just don't show up. Really Suck

  • There's things wrong with your statements that someone who has gone through or helped others go through naturalization can tell you.

    If you're here illegally, the only legal path to citizenship is by returning to the country of origin and applying for a visa. The only exception to that is if the government offers amnesty. Marrying a citizen for immigration purposes is fraud -- and any such marriage has a very high probability of getting him deported permanently. What your husband is doing is stealing the opportunity to immigrate legally from someone who would obey the law -- and so lacks the moral character to become naturalized. That's not my opinion -- that's USCIS'.

    Also, those here illegally who are paying taxes and not getting refunds? Boo freaking hoo. The only way they can pay taxes in such a manner is if they are using someone else's social security number -- in other words, they're an identity thief. Many of them (I have first hand knowledge of this) compound this by collecting welfare benefits -- it's every bit as morally wrong as finding a wallet with cash and a credit card, using the cash and credit card, then returning the card to the owner and acting like you've done something nice.

• Many, if not most, dont know that illegals must submit a social securtiy number to their employer. Many times, it is not a legal number at all. Result= they pay taxes through their pay checks (of course this does not include those paid under the table). And the next year, they are unable to collect any refunds because it is not their SS#. That being said, it does not make up for the assistance they recieve. BUT, if we didnt have this work force, how much would our produce cost? how much would our meals in restaurants go up? hotels? The general opinion of the jobs these workers hold is that they are beneath most. In order to fill positions in field work, dish washers, cooks, maids etc., we would have to increase the ammount of pay for each position. Therefore, our prices would increase. So either we pay for assistance to these illeagal workers, or we pay more in other areas. I feel the solution, though much more complex, would be centered around making life better for illeagal workers in thier home countries. If they are able to support their families there, they wouldnt feel it beneficial to come to the US. .....stepping off my soap box now.

    Have you ever received a tax refund that was greater than the cost of your food, housing, education, transportation,medical expenses, garbage disposal, clothes, pet food, tattoos, etc. for an entire year for 8 or 9 people. I think NOT. Idiot

Prices have doubled in this amount of time, and if you read more of this site, as well as many others out there, it's only going to get worse! Sooooo, your theory is wrong from the start. It's also not our job to 'make things easier' for illegal immigrants in their own countries! Are you really serious in this comment? We can't even make things easier for OUR own people, let alone anyone else! This is one reason, among many, that our country and economy are in dire straits. No, we need to make sure all LEGAL citizens are being taken care of by furnishing jobs for them, not every piggyback illegal that enters the country. Were in trouble people, and we need to look much closer to home to trim the fat and get this immigration train wreck under control. It's going to come to each state policing their own borders, and handling it themselfs. The government sure as hell can't or won't tackle this problem! Just look at Arizona to see how this is so not working! Just try to cross any other countries borders the way ours are crossed, and see just how they deal with unlawful entry!

  • I would rather pay more for american products made, manufactured, created, invented, picked up and so on by PROFESSIONAL and mature and happy and well paid American workers who are so happy that they are not going to make crap knowing full well their jobs and their reputation are in danger of being marred or lost.

    That way I KNOW that they in turn won't go and get welfare and other government assistance on the other end so I have to pay them twice. Cheap things usually come with a double price. The cheap price and the real price. Sometimes the prices doesn't just mean money either.

    That is why luxury products are so coveted. They last for decades or more, you can bequeath to family and friends, they can truly add to your lifestyle. Items of food that are responsibly grown and collected are better for you healthwise, even if it cost more to be a responsible grower.

They sure can track down a non child support paying parent in this similar fashion, they can do the same thing with the immigration fiasco.   Second, you know who I see panhandling on the side of the freeways, asking for a handout? White people. Tons and tons of white people. You know who I see working in the fields? You know who I see working at McDonalds? Mexicans. Tons and tons of Mexicans. You know what this tells me? White people are content to sit on their ass, smoking cigarettes, and asking me for money. • yeah like THATS a surprise.. go to the welfare office here in Seattle... there;s a group of mexicans...9 in all.. only 3 are related by blood... they had to take little manuel out of school.. cause he;s the only one in the family who speaks english.... so he gets to translate... i sit there for hours waiting to see a caseworker.. they get ushered in right away...get an EBT card..free medical..housing vouchers..etc etc etc.. while i sit and wait.. while another family of illegals gets what they DONT deserve.. im told i make to much to qualify for Food stamps.... what is up with that ?

• well first off all im a Mexican American !!! i was born and raise in mexico and got naturalized .. growing up i thought government help was ok and it was only for those that would work alot and only for US citizens ... like my mother used to... but now that im a 23 old woman with a cna college degree i found my self asking for help of food stamps and Medicare do to the fact that i couldn't provide for my baby!!... but when i asked for government founding they turned me down cause they told me that i was making to much money.. but right there in that moment i saw how this illegal girl with 5 lil children got 900 dollars worth of food stamps not only that later i found that same person offered me food stamps for 100 dollars !!!! ... so this type of crap pisss me off this people like her come to the US with no plans of bettering them self and have free food, free medical assistence, free house. and me a US citizen that pay her taxes and had fix her paper way before i was even here can get help when i need it?? that blowsssss now they want to take off the government help for everyone??? thats stupid cut it to those that really dont work and are not from the US to those illegals that they don't do shit!!! im not hating is JUST that enough is enough !!!     • You are, in essence, right. However, it is a bit different, because she is after all an American citizen. Everyone makes mistakes. The question THEN becomes: Was this a TEMPORARY search of assistance? OR Was this a long term search of assistance on her part? I come down hard on people using public assistance, however, if they are certifiable American citizens, if they are in real need AND they have NO long term plans to remain on assistance (as well as their attitude is not I am owed anything) I say they surely should get assistance OVER illegals and other types of leeches. Assistance should be temporary FOR American citizens in REAL need, not for illegals and definelty not for long term and for people that CAN and should work.

  • You know, it is easy to say "give me some of that money" when it comes from some anonymous person. The problem comes when it turns out that the person it comes from is you.

    I have no problem with people who immigrate legally to partake in the system. We have a good thing here. When people want to come here and *take*, I have a problem. Social insurance like welfare are supposed to be tools to help people, but since the government is either being negligent in their trust of taxpayer money, or is using it to finance their own political schemes, I'd prefer that the whole thing just stop.

    Free money is a cancer. It makes people make decisions based upon it, and steals their ability to provide for themselves. Look at yourself -- more than likely, you made decisions "knowing" that the assistance you had earlier would help you now -- but now it isn't there for you because you are supposed to be on the producing end. To see abusers getting what you need is really frustrating. They, too, will have their own problems -- they, too, are being lied to, just as you were. They, too, are being manipulated, and they, too, will be left high and dry when they are actually in a place where they actually need it.

    The problem is, the American Dream has to lead somewhere. It is supposed to take a person from poverty to having a decent life, a producer of value for your society. You pursued it, and as a cna, you should be able to support your child and make a better life.

    My advice for you is to take your citizenship to heart. Remember the unfairness, and remember that the same people that lied to you then are the same people lying now to keep illegal immigration going. Not because they care about the human beings that come here and live under fear of deportation for a chance to make a better life -- but for a crass political scheme. They depend upon a political underclass to believe their lies and support their schemes.

    As long as the floodgate of illegal immigration is open and going full blast, as long as the limousine liberals have their share of gardeners and maids, as long as unethical businesses depend upon unskilled and uneducated people to cut their meat and pick their fruit, there is no incentive to fix *legal* immigration. When it stops, then we can talk about a sane way to allow people to come to this country and succeed. Until then, illegal immigration not only absorbs social benefits like you hoped to receive, it also keeps labor costs low and unemployment high, so that a single mother with a cna cannot successfully provide for herself and her child.

    Most of us "anglos" are not hating latinos or latinas -- we just want our society to be what it should be, where a person can work their job and provide for their family, and we see what is happening, and it is upsetting. The label of "racist" is applied to us by people with an investment in injustice, and as such, I reject it. Many hispanics who have become citizens are socially conservative -- and because you *dared* to become self-sufficient, you should remember that by so doing, you became the enemy of the welfare state.
