We love new New Jersey Governor Chris Christie so much that we want to have his pudgy little baby.
Not only is he doing exactly what he said he’d do during the campaign – slash spending – but he has somehow managed to get the state’s top Democrats to back his actions.
Even more startling, the first bills he’s signing reduce benefits to public-sector pensions. And instead of doing it behind closed doors and away from the cameras, he’s holding big, public ceremonies and then posting the videos YouTube.
How much is Christie saving the citizens of New Jersey? As he says in this video, “On Senate Bill 2, over the next 15 years, $3 billion. On Senate Bill 4, $5 billion dollars over the next 15 years and most immediately about $315 million for the upcoming fiscal year for local governments and school boards. And on Senate Bill 4, capping some of the abuses that have really outraged the public regarding sick leave and other issues that finally we’ll be getting to put a cap on those things that have so angered the public and made them think that government was not really working to their benefit but working for someone else’s.”
Way to go, Governor Christie. You appear to be everything that lying sack of excrement Arnold Schwarzenegger told Californians he was going to be.

I read somewhere the State Court abolished something I think it was spending to unions. I found that weird does someone know anything about that?
So Sam, how do you explain the massive ratings of Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck and Savage on AM radio???? It is all about content. people are hungry for the truth, the skinny, the way things really are, not the utopian big government, anti-american spirit crap that we've been spoon fed by abc, nbc, cbs. and don't forget bbc and cbc. You really need to read "1984"and "Animal Farm" if you haven't. In the free market, leftism loses, everytime. Truth will set you free. Truth is freedom.
Don't mind Sam, if you wanted to hear both sides of a debate, would'nt you go to the news outlet that actually does present that? MSNBC...no dice, CNN...not so much, & that leaves FoxNews. It's a no brainer.
BTW, there was a day not so long ago when CNN actually had debate on shows like "Crossfire" & "The Capital Gang". But they gave up on that stuff & FoxNews just seized that format. The ratings point to that being a good buisiness decision.
Exactly! CNN moved from journalism to sycophantism.
Sam, if you are talking about me, I never said quit arguing me, I was just commenting on why the Editor may feel a need to "jump in" when you choose to comment. You can only argue with me if I let you, and I really don't feel like letting you.
If you love the way things are going in Canada, God Bless You - keep on loving it, but apparently not all of your countrymen agree with you.
You said that if you were in the Editor's shoes you would be annoyed if someone shared their opinion on things? Why?
No Sam, that's not what Pat said. Here's the quote:
"...like the Editor here I would be kind of annoyed if someone showed up and began arguing with everyone about everything they say."
Not "shared their opinion on things." Arguing with everyone about everything. Plus your little elitist questions about our educational backgrounds and how many racists are here. Yep, one or two hideous comments by shouters -- I'm suspicious of their identity just by how they express themselves -- and the rest of us are branded racists. (And unwad your panties, I acknowledge you did not specifically call everyone a racist.)
A question for you -- why do you think Fox has as many viewers as the other networks put together, as you assert? Could it be that people are smart enough to see that, while Fox commentators will list to starboard, the newscasts and talk shows will at least make the effort to present the opposing viewpoint? Or would you prefer the liberal line, that the American people are too stupid to think for themselves, and they huddle around Fox because they use the smallest words and have the prettiest anchors?
I think that people like entertainment and that people are more entertained by the style of Fox broadcasting. Fox likes to pit two people against eachother with opposing views and have them argue. I think that people watch it because they like the drama.
So is that why you are posting here? ... to entertain yourself by creating your own drama?
And that's bad because...?
Sam said, "Fox likes to pit two people against eachother with opposing views and have them argue."
As opposed to the rest of the media that likes to have two people compete to see who can fawn over Obama with the most zeal and adoration. The commentator with the most spittle gathering on his lip as he leers at his beloved Obama wins the competition.
Sadly for liberals, this routine gets low ratings. If people want to see porn, they can just search the internet.
Sam, I run a couple of small blogs myself and much like the Editor here I would be kind of annoyed if someone showed up and began arguing with everyone about everything they say. I realize that you are a liberal and probably feel okay insulting everyone around you (as long as they don't know who you REALLY are) but whatever you may or may not think this site is about, it is not really about you. So despite what your parents, teachers and other enablers have told you all your life - it is not really all about you Sam. Before you ask me if I REALLY believe that the answer is "Hell yes Sam, I really do".
Is disagreeing with you insulting to you?
I've been told here that one of things Americans value most is free speech because it allows people to bring forth their ideas, and you're asking me to stop arguing with you?
EDITOR, you're always jumping in here to back up your buddies, what do you think? Is Fox news conservative or does it present news in a completely unbiased way?
I always jump in to help my buddies? I doubt that I've made 25 comments in the last year. You've made more comments in the last three days than I've made in the last year.
My original comment stands. If you think Fox News is the mainstream media, it's too absurd to bother responding.
And what do you say to the numbers I posted earlier that show that Fox, yesterday, and on an average day, all by itself, has just as many daily viewers as all of the "mainstream media" combined. That means that Fox has 50% of the news coverage in the US. That's not mainstream?
The numbers are real you can look them up yourself at the link one of the other people on here provided.
A big part of news bias is what they actually decide to cover. It's no secret that Fox is extremely right wing. Are you trying to dispute that?
I am not trying anything. I either do or do not. Fox News is not EXTREMELY right wing. It tilts to the center right but it is not extreme. Would you say that MSNBC is left wing would you admit to that?
So how does a news station present unbiased news if it's reporters are all conservative?
You are wrong. Not all reporters are conservatives some of them are while some of them are indepedent or libertarian. There are some whom I do not know what they political affiliation is. Commentators with their own show split pretty evenly between conservative/traditionalists like O'Reilly and independent/libertarian like Stossel and Beck and liberals like Geraldo. Commentators without their show also split very evenly between the same segments as above. In fact I have seen frequent commentators there that are either avowed progressives or socialist like Mark Lamont Hill. Is there almost three to four times a week or more.
MSNBC, CNN et al do not have that split. It is 90% liberals and progressives over there with 10% being split between libertarians and conservatives and the conservatives over there, tend to be pretty weak. Please do your homework.
Well good work. The bias here is that this type of thing wouldn't appear on MSNBC et al. So it must be shown somewhere.
LOL it was on every area newscast.
You are so cute. I am talking about national news. Difference. I mentioned that it wouldn't necessarily appear on MSNBC and networks like that (cable nationwide networks get it?) unless they made it look like it was a democratic initiative.
Does the national news, including Fox news, cover every piece of state political news?
Actually Fox News is very good at covering important state political news either during their straight news or commentary or using the banners at the bottom ALSO FoxNews.com.
National news like ABC, NBC, CBS whatever are not very good at it unless it is something that makes democrats, libs/progressives look good or makes conservatives, republics and tea party people look bad. Cable news (msm) is the same way.
Yes it got state play I am sure of it, but if I were to be a MSNBC viewer or spend my time at the Daily Kos or some site like that, I would have probably not heard of this. It makes the guy looks good and bipartisan something that Obama has never accomplished.
Fox can't show every piece of state politics news. How does it choose?
I am not trying to tell you anything. I either do or do not. You don't seem to be able to master reading comprehension do you? You just read what you want to read into what is written. I did mention (didn't you see it?) that perhaps it is not above bias, however it does a good job in presenting balanced views. Aside from the perhaps bias of the commentators and reporters, Fox News presents both sides of the issues by allowing people from both sides of the fence to speak and give them equal time. Something that MSNBC and other networks fail to do.
So Fox news is the most balanced and unbiased news provider there is?
So you're trying to tell me that Fox reporters merely "tell it like it is" and, for the most part, don't infuse what they are saying with conservative views? AHAHAHAHAHA.
I think even on this very conservative website few people would agree with you.
The most balanced. It is not above bias perhaps, but it is the most balanced. Even even minded democrats admit it.
I don't know how they choose that is a question better posted to the people in charge of Fox, but you are it seems unable to read as I mentioned it is not just the straight news and commentaries where these things are discussed they are also discussed online which has very EXTENSIVE coverage of state and national news.
Sam, actually I was being sarcastic
REALLY??!!
