  Because I really do not recall a very LONG LASTING positive history with Islam and Muslims from the beginning of the country until now. In fact it wan't really until 9/11 that US people TRULY began to know about muslims and their connections to this country (oil, Osama Bin laden, etc) and before that any stories associated with muslims were considered international stories as their attacks on US forces happened overseas in most cases. In the first World Trade Center attack, I don't think there was a lot of emphasis on the attackers being muslims either which is surprising. Overall any link or historical association with muslims have almost always been negative and war or terrorist inclined. This is not a positive, so I don't know what he is talking about with contributions either. I mean I love belly dancing classes and everything but I cannot hardly call that an Islamic contribution. It is a secular arab custom more than anything.

  • Obama mentioned the constitutional rights of the Muslims to build their mosque, however a Christian Greek Orthodox Church that was destroyed during the 9/11 attacks have not been provided a permit to rebuild so where are their constitutional rights?

    The left are funny they are the first to cry separation of church and state whenever something to do with Christianity (and in some cases Judaism), and separation of church and state is not in the constitution, but when it comes to Islam they bring out the constitution to defend their rights? what? whatever happened to separation of church and state then?

• Well, let's examine this a bit.One of the prime tenets of islam is allah's command in the koran to kill all unbelievers and infidels.This would include:

  #1 ) Kill all Jews ( this is a top priority according to allah. )
  #2 ) Kill anyone who does not convert to islam = infidels ( salaam OR the s word)
  #3 ) Kill anyone who leaves islam for another religion.
  #4 ) Kill anyone who questions the koran.
  #5 ) Kill anyone who defaces or destroys a koran.
  #6 ) Kill anyone who speaks against islam.
  #7 ) Kill anyone who speaks against mohammed.
  #8 ) Kill anyone who draws a picture of mohammed.
  #9 ) Kill any muslims that are not in your particular sect - sunni, shia, wahab etc.

  And let's not forget the practice of " Taqiyya " ( tah-KEY-ah ) which in it's everyday application means lying to infidels in order to deceive them about the actual goals and intentions of islam, which is world conquest under an islamic caliphate ( like the Turkish empire). That's why no treaties signed by muslims are worth the paper they're written on and why muslim negotiators or political pronouncements can't be trusted.

  • Please post the stories and facts on the murders of Muslims at the hands of true Christians for the past 10 years. Just the past 10 years. Once you do that I will be happy to point out the stories just for one year of muslims in different countries even European countries and in the US killing christians, gays, and even each other (members of their own families). Then we can start a real conversation here, because what you typed there was craaaazzzzyyyy....

    Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honor"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to thank one of us is certainly has a perverted view of religion! In America Muslins are permitted to build mosques and practice their faith to the extend of infringing upon the daily lives of those not practicing Islam, like shutting down traffic in New York’s 4th street for prayers! Yet NO
    American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance without punishment of death?
    It was the Muslims who cut off the heads of schoolgirls in Indonesia because they were Christian. You are welcome to keep your faith, that is what makes America great, and defines the flaws of a cult (Islam) in a society that is not afraid of its threats!

• "Islam" was never a big part of American history, but there were quite a few Muslims imported from Africa as slaves, including at least one I read about, Peter Salem, who fought in the Revolutionary War. So Obama was technically correct, although he's embellishing a bit.

• Wait a second- Our country's first naval assault was against the Barbary pirates, an assault against the poor Muslims who only wanted to capture and sell slaves, burn ships and plunder, and rape the infidels (both sexes) ---- we probably water boarded those poor pirates

• I think Barry is an atheist, and the only deity he worships is himself. I also think Islam is a cult...not a religion. Even still, Obama was indoctrinated with that sick and twisted bullcrap that they teach boys. It dictates the way he sees the world around him.

  The only thing I see Muslims doing, anywhere, is creating havoc, murdering people in the name of Allah and trying to replace everyone else's way of life with their own. A way of life in which anyone that isn't a Muslim can and should be killed, if they won't convert. A way of life in which males do as the damn well please and females are treated like garbage and murdered for any reason at all.
