Frank Luntz did a focus group after Tuesday night’s Oval Oil Office speech. It didn’t go well.
It’s kind of like the situation the Japanese faced in 1944. We were kicking their asses all across the Pacific and their leaders kept telling themselves, “If we can just get the Americans into one final, decisive battle, we can still win this thing.”
Obama’s people see themselves getting their asses kicked in all the polls and they keep telling themselves, “If we can just get the Big Guy to deliver one final, decisive speech, we can still win this thing.”
We aren’t speaking Japanese. And Obama and the Democrats aren’t speaking a language Americans want to hear anymore.

I watched them-and there were a couple in that group-and one of them said bush did it. They went to another comment immediately, out of charity to the woman who was about to make a complete ass of herself.
I am happy to say, I did not lose 15 minutes of my life listening to the whiner in chief last night! Rather, I watched a DVR'd episode of house hunters international, to get some more ideas for offshore safety for me and my family!
I saw it not because I wanted to but because I DVR'ed Hell's Kitchen and I couldnt see the end of the thing because of his stupid ass speech. It said nothing other than I will tax you further thanks to this disaster. I typed It? LOL I meant him but overall what is the difference in his case?

I was mad beyond all reason at his interruption (the start of it for me) of Hell's Kitchen. Actually, I really blame Fox for it. If they want to show that crap on Fox News, go ahead... no reason to air his stupidity on both of their networks, as I'm sure he was all over every other channel too.
Absolutely. There was no reason to put it on the Entertainment channel. They have a news channel for that. I was so angry.

In his speech, Obama did blame Bush, talking about the Minerals Management Service: "Over the last decade, this agency has become emblematic of a failed philosophy that views all regulation with hostility..." The phrase "the last decade" is the new code for blame Bush.
They've moved on to "the last decade" as opposed to "the last eight years"? How clever of them. Surely, we'll never be able to figure out what they mean by that. Good thing that we're all so damn stupid.
If it's been screwed up for a decade, doesn't that mean that the last two years were screwed up? What? Doesn't Obama know how to fix things, and make them run right?
