It seems like only yesterday that you were all filled with the warm afterglow of new love. But then he farted for the first time and “Hope and Change” suddenly turned to “What now?”
At least that’s how former Gulf Coast Obamaniacs seem to feel. Metaphorically speaking, that is.
The Associated Press has the heartbreaking details of a love affair gone bad:
The widening scope of the disaster deepened the anger and despair just as Obama arrived for his third visit to the stricken Gulf Coast.
On Obama’s trip to the Grand Isle on the Louisiana coast, his motorcade passed a building that had been adorned with his portrait reminiscent of posters of him during his presidential campaign. Instead of “hope” or “change,” the words “what now?” were on his forehead.
Potemkin villages. That’s what we need in this country. Potemkin villages where hope and change shine as brightly as ever and the peasants still love their President

I totally read a bio on Catherine the Great a few months ago and that is the only reason I know what you meant by Potemkin villages. I feel so smart right now! Thanks I Hate the Media!
I wonder how "The One" felt as he saw that. It probably pissed him off. Or maybe he was shielded from seeing it. I wouldn't be surprised.
