Reuters has the details of the first Oval Office quickie since Bill met Monica:
President Barack Obama will confront BP Plc on Wednesday with a demand that it set aside billions of dollars to pay damages from the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, the worst in U.S. history.
BP executives, including Chairman Carl-Henric Svanberg, CEO Tony Hayward and BP U.S. boss Lamar McKay, were seen walking into the West Wing of the White House just before 10 a.m. ET for talks with Obama that were scheduled to last 20 minutes.
20 minutes? Here’s what happens in 20 minutes. You usher the three BP officials into the Oval Office, everyone introduces themselves, they shake hands, take their seats, Barack gives the White House steward his coffee order and the BP officials give him their tea orders, Obama thanks them for coming, tells them he certainly didn’t mean it when he threatened to kick someone’s ass and “How about that Laker game last night”, the coffee and tea arrive too late for them to drink it, they stand up, shake hands again and leave.
That’s 20 minutes.
When Obama said the Gusher in the Gulf was like 9-11, it was obviously a typo. It was supposed to read “the oil spill is like 9+11.”

It is funny because sometimes I drop my h's and things like that usually at home with my family. That doesn't make me ignorant and of course while I am at work or something I speak properly. However that doesn't make me a sell out. It is called life and liberals need to stop avoiding it. It is appropriate to act and speak appropriately in appropriate settings. I don't avoid people because of who they are and what they look like or because of fear of being uncomfortable. I deal with all kinds of people and I am willing to deal with the negative (that in essence is a minority) with the positive. The benefits outweight the negativity. I am able to see the humor in things when there is race involved if it is done smartly and without no true maliciousness and I think it takes a well used brain to know the difference. HOWEVER in this particular situation there was TRULY in my humble opinion no race discussion. It was street language discourse between well spoken, non dialect, laurate, clean and smart Obama and I am sure well spoken, British accented (can you imagine them speaking like that with an English accent?!) stiff upper lip BP executives. Funny because people THOUGHTS on who they are based on what we see are challenged by such a joke.
Street language is just that... street language. Anyone can belong to the streets or take things from the streets, to define that street language is just something black people get into is moronic. Some people just need to live a bit more.

The fact that barry is running jesse jackson styled shakedowns of every major corporation, begs the question-what really goes on in these meetings. And considering we have heard jesse in wonderful hot-mic situations use all kinds of street slang, it is entirely fitting and not at all racist. Just plain funny-and COMPLETELY SALIENT! His intent is to destroy the oil industry-so this is just the first salvo in many destructive shots across the bow of big oil-which will only destroy the economy worse-and make people like you and me wish he was never elected-of course I already wish that-but that is because I am informed, and am a business owner-and am actually moving out of the US to protect my businesses and to protect my family from the race wars that he and his cabal of retards are fomenting.
Make no mistake, the 20b would have been there, with or without him, as the court systems already have north of 2500 lawsuits filed as of Monday of this week. So, whether that dough is in an escrow account barry's monkeyboys can get their hands on or not, it makes no difference, except to the folks that will get ripped off, because barry directs larger sums to his supporters, just as he has with the gigantic and monumental disparity in the disbursement of TARP funds to Democrat controlled states.

The wassup commercial if I am not mistaken was a beer commercial and in it there were men of all colors doing this. That was NOT a "black" thing. To say it is racist is stupid on so many levels. Now I have seen white men speak like this as a normal form of conversation. It is street slang and within context it is funny because first we don't know what was said, it was too short of a conversation and since Obama is trying to be more 'hood it is fitting. Darnell-a little piece of truth for you. I am from right across the street from the house that was eminem's house in 8 mile. Yet, when I talk I don' t sound like eminem, or the other assorted colors of people who live in that neighborhood(whites, blacks, hispanics, and asians nowadays).

My etymology of the term "them's" leads to old cowboy movies as the source, said cowboys being portrayed as illiterate white drifters who rode horses behind cattle for a living ( welfare not yet being invented ). A generally common use of the term would occur during the prelude before the obligatory fight scene when one cowboy would diss another cowboy's horse, requiring the owner of the offended horse to say "Them's fightin' words pardner!"
