After all his talk about “shovel ready jobs,” President Obama admitted yesterday that there really never were any shovel ready projects nor any shovel ready jobs.
Does that surprise you? It shouldn’t. We’re willing to bet this guy’s never owned a shovel. He’s never had a real job. And he certainly wasn’t ready for the job he has now.
Charles Krauthammer lays it all out:
“Well, that is quite an admission. You know, a year and a half and half a trillion dollars later he says these things that I talked about endlessly don’t exist. It’s not actually surprising that he doesn’t know what a shovel ready project is. Having never worked in the private sector he wouldn’t be sure what a project is and there isn’t a lot of shoveling at Harvard Law School.” So I can understand that this was one of the greatest “Oops” in American history. And it’s going to be hard for a democrat when you show one tape against another. They’re goint to say, “So you supported a trillion dollars offered by a president who didn’t even know that this stuff that this stuff is not going to happen?”
NOTE: Although Barack Obama has never owned a shovel, he’s still managed to dig himself a pretty big hole in the last 21 months.

Krauthammer is my favorite columnist. He's always spot on...
Notice Obama goes into third person when talking about his lies.
VERY telling.
"[t]he next time that we Americans start thinking about maybe electing someone with no known talent, limited useful experience and an IQ that's barely equal to his body temperature, what say we just leave the presidency vacant and the White House shuttered for eight years or so?"

Joe was ahead of his time.
Wrong answer Jimmy. BO was known for his tough stance on votes, having voted "present" on oh so many bills in the Illinois Senate. He is what the professional call "an empty suit".
2012? What me worry?
and I watched this live -- THIS is why we hate Fox News ... we don't need people to know the truth and have Krauthammer REALLY hammer us with it. Man, this hurt.
Welcome to the road back to reality!
he didn't admit there were no shovel ready jobs-he admitted there is no such thing as a shovel ready job.
when a municipality, county, or state do a big job like that, they issue bonds to pay for them. That said-there is no way that the fed can come in, and just wipe that stuff out of the way and give them dough for work that is supposedly ready-unless they buy all of the munies issued for that/those projects.
So, by doing what they tried to do-they found out quickly that they would drastically effect the bond ratings, and the cost proposition, as the localities who were involved had already spent the dough to begin the bond issues-and the fed can't buy munies! So-frankly it was a joke from the start-but the fact that barry is openly admitting bold lies like this, just goes to show he doesn't fear the voters-because at the end of the day-they will steal elections based on subterfuge, ballot-box stuffing-and character assassination-which begs the question-why don't we assassinate all of their characters-it isn't easy to do-they are all criminal in their intent-and frankly criminal in their actions-but alas-our side are a bunch of sissies. It is disturbing-very disturbing.
He lied. There's a "shovel ready" job opening at the White House and another one at the Capitol for someone to shovel all the bullshit out of the buildings.
He dug HIMSELF a big hole? The hole he dug was one for the rest of us to dig out of.
The short explanation is that Obama would rather look good than be good. He's style over substance. And his style is wearing thin.
He is good....to himself. How much do you think the Unions "Donated" to his library fund to get all that make-work? He's only not good if you think he's working for you and I rather than himself and his cronies.
This "I goofed" statement is a ruse to get moderates believing in him again, coincidentally, just before elections. He's begging for another chance "to rule" with no intention of changing his "fundamental transformation" of America from a republic to a social democracy or worse.
