Obama: “You know those things I said against raising the debt limit back when Bush was President? Never mind.”

barack obama invent stuff

A very John Kerry-like Barack Obama was against raising the debt limit before he was in favor of it. It’s all excusable, of course, because he was against it when George Bush was for it, which is like a Papal dispensation to Democrat flipfloppers.

The Associated Press tells the story of the President’s press secretary twisting himself into knots in an attempt to explain away the Presidential contradiction:

The White House says President Barack Obama regrets his vote as a senator in 2006 against raising the debt limit.

A fight over raising the debt limit is looming, and the White House is trying to explain away the apparent contradiction between Obama’s previous opposition, and his position now that it must be increased.

Press Secretary Jay Carney said Monday that Obama believes his vote was a mistake. He said Obama now realizes that the debt ceiling is too important to be trifled with.

Can we all accept this as an admission that he trifled with it back in 2006?

  • Obatguano and his entire administration of buffoons is in true twist and turn mode right about now. I think we should all pile on and make it harder for them to think clearly, not that they're thinking all that clearly now! Oh, and this new press secretary is as big a liar as the old one, only more photogenic.

  • Well when you have only held do nothing, and or quota filling jobs where one does nothing, it is easy to run your mouth and tell others how to do their job. Then all of a sudden Mr. Empty Suit finds himself with some responsibilities even he can figure out he didnt know what he was talking about. I wonder if Dinglebarry is smart enough to know what an utter buffoon he is making of himself. At least to everyone except the Stupids.

  • His vote in 2006 was a "mistake?" Shoot, that was probably one of only two or three times he bothered to vote. The rest of the time he was busy running for president and learning to say "Sir, yes sir, Mr. Soros sir!"

    • "...Shoot, that was probably one of only two or three times he bothered to vote..."

Don't forget the 130 votes he cast as an Illinois State Senator...in the "present" column. Also referred to as the "I can't find my ass with both hands, so how can I be expected to make a decision" vote.

I think Captain Zero was just getting warmed up with the pretend gig in Illinois.

  • When can we finally get rid of the myth that government spending creates jobs....other than just more government jobs?
