ObamaCare to bring back bloodletting?

blood letting

OK, go ahead and say it. “You guys at IHateTheMedia.com have some strange reading habits.”

That being said, Graham Ford writes in his laugh-filled article “The Ancient Art of Bloodletting” that “The practice of bloodletting seemed logical when the foundation of all medical treatment was based on the four body humors: blood, phlegm, yellow bile, and black bile. Health was thought to be restored by purging, starving, vomiting or bloodletting.”

Admittedly this is all horrible sounding stuff. Bloodletting, vomiting, starving, purging, Botox (OK, we stuck that last one in there) are all ancient remedies that no one in their right mind would ever recommend. No one.

But given the Democrats’ proclivity for re-doing things that have been tried before and then using the “Hey, if it was good enough for them, it’s good enough for us” defense, we wouldn’t be surprised if all of these practices may soon be coming your way again.

Think of it this way. If these ancient treatments are once again utilized, ObamaCare will, in fact, reduce healthcare costs. Unfortunately, that will occur only as a nasty side effect of shrinking the population.

Speaking of bloodletting, how much longer until November?
