The fact that there is a large number of people that hold the Kennedy family with such high regard is eally a sad thing. They really are ultra rich trailer trash when you think about it. We have Teddy, who kills a pregnent staffer (Mary Jo)in (probably)a drunk driving accident. We have the cousin who killed a teenager with a 6 iron. We also have the cousin who is an accused rapist, & has not been able to stay out that sort a trouble since. Then we have the son who does'nt understand his limitations as a pilot & kills himself & his woman. True, 2 of the Kennedy's were gunned down, basically on TV, but then you consider the only reason they became wealthy was through illegal activity, bootlegging alcohol back during the prohibition era, JFK & RFK would never had been in a position to be President or a candidate & be in the firing line-so to speak. Jerry Springer guests almost look highbrow in comparison.
I agree with everything except the bootlegging thing..don't knock bootlegging...if not for that we would not have NASCAR and alcohol would still be illeagal. I think if we don't get congress back in november we will all need a few drinks.
Kathy, alcohol should never have been outlawed in the first place. As for the NASCAR thing, we would some form of motorsport, & it would be popular. My only point is that the Kennedy fortune is rooted in what was an illegal activity, & they are now the very people who made alcohol illegal to begin with. The early 20th century progressives that old man Kennedy fought by running booze ARE the Kenndy's today who want to control the people by gov't force, mainly by heavy regulation & taxation. It also help finance what we know today as organized crime in America in the form of mob families.

I agree with tbone. I may not like NASCAR and its history has not been necessarily kind to people of color, but I cannot endorse it going away because of that, it is the rights of thsoe that like it to patronize it with their time and money.
