We know it’s still early in the year, but we’re willing to award the prize for Dumbest Environmental PR Stunt of the Year to whoever came up with Pee-On-Earth Day.
That’s right. Mark it on your calendar, folks. June 21 is Pee-On-Earth Day. Here’s how the organization’s website describes it:

Pee-On-Earth Day
June 21 (Dec. 21 in the eastern hemisphere)
Pee-On-Earth Day is a day to bring your urine outside to nourish plants and avoid using water to flush your toilet!
Fertilize plants with your urine’s nitrogen and phosphorus. PEECYCLE either directly or by depositing your contribution in a container you take outside and apply to: - Soil, wood chips or the forest floor (not pavement) - Your composter or compost pile (makes brown leaves and woodchips compost faster)
Or dilute it with 9 parts water to 1 part urine, and pour around plants*
*Dilute or distribute widely: Lots of urine deposited in one spot on your lawn can result in nitrogen burn!
“Why, yes, Mrs. Editor, that is a big jug of pee in the bathroom. Just ignore it. It’s going to be really good for the plants.”
Yeah, like that’s going to fly.
NOTE: Far be it from us to correct the experts at Pee-On-Earth Day, but we think they mean “December 21 in the Southern Hemisphere.”

I get it now... People have truly lost their fecking minds ~!
First, I like the narrator's "Mr. Rogers," sincerely liberal, voice.
Second, Don't leave the jug in the refrigerator- It looks a lot like apple juice!!!
The comments are so... enlightening.
As for the story... *sighs* classy.
i pee on anything and everything i can.. it's good to be a guy...
Like the alpha male dog says "Can't eat it, can't screw it? Then piss on it!"
So if I go to 1600 PA Ave and piss thru the fence, It's be all good?
Hopefully it's not electrified!
My dad has an electric fence to keep the deer out. I was stepping over when I slipped, and took 10,000v through the boys. It's impossible to describe the pain. I wonder if that has affected my sperm count......
I shudder at the thought of 8,000,000 New Yorkers converging on Central Park to dump their diluted pee on the greensward.
What's wrong with a beer with breakfast? Sometimes I get on a roll in my woodshop and work all night to get a project done. Sometimes my "day job", the job that pays the electric and gas bills, requires me to work into the wee hours of the morning. When my "day" is done I want a cold beer to go with my meal. I see no difference between a steak and beer in the evening or a plate of huevos rancheros, with red chile sauce, and a beer in the morning. "Time" is mans invention and doesn't really mean much in the long run.
How much meaning can time have, when Congress can legislate that the sun come up at a different time in the morning? Besides, my favorite breakfast is pizza.
I just watered the carrots, want some?
"Trickle Down" environmentalism, love it.
"Give a Pee, Save a Tree"
"Give it a shake, for the planet's sake"
"Be a green wizard and drain the lizard"
"Urination prevents environmental ruination"
"Beer for breakfast, do it for the planet. . . "
I never knew I was an eco-freak until now! I have been peeing on trees, watering the grass in the pasture, wetting down the fence posts of the corrals and fertilizing the side of the barn, for years now!
Since I am now a environmentally correct person I think I'll pop the top on a beer, or two, then fertilize the rose bushes in front of the house.
I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but my dad was a dairy farmer. The family farm was originally out in the country, but over the years the city grew around it. Real estate developers constantly bugged him to sell, which he didn't want to do. As he said to me, "Why can't they understand that I just want to go out and piss behind my barn at night?"
We never knew he was an environmentalist.
I can understand your fathers frame of mind! I too am an unknown environmentalist but the difference is I live so far in the sticks I can still piss behind my barn, day or night. Or off my front porch if I want too.
After he sold the cows and moved to a house in town, he began going in the front yard every night to take a leak. My mom was horrified that the neighbors would see him, but he always said, "It's my yard. I'll piss in it if I want to."
They don't make 'em like him anymore.
With today's PC they'd have the SWAT Team at the house, confiscate the computer to see if it had kiddie porn on it, arrest him for public exposure and he'd have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. Then Chris Hansen would try and entrap him into coming over to his house to pee on his rose bush so they could get him on To Catch a Predator.
My grandpa always griped and moaned about the idea of indoor plumbing. He could never understand why anyone would want to do THAT inside the house. I try to make a point of peeing outside at least a couple times a day. Having moved from the desert into town makes it a little more difficult, but no less rewarding.
Having spent most of my life in the great outdoors doing one thing or another, and working in earthmoving and heavy construction all my adult life, I would say that more of my life-giving urine has gone on the ground than in a toilet. Now I can say that I did it for the planet.
We might have some good stories to share! I too worked in "moving the earth" but I moved rock, thousands of cubic yards at a time. 32 years of breaking up rocks, I am a retired powdermonkey.
I worked from one coast to the other, even in Alaska and South America, and the thing I miss most is "pushing the button". I don't miss the drilling with all the noise, dust and throwing drill steel. I don't miss packing boxes of stick powder and sacks of prill up the sides of mountains like a pack mule. I do miss seeing the results of all that hard labor though. Connect two wires to the box, push a button and listen to the whine as the capacitors charge up, push another button and BOOM! You know immediately if you did the shot right or not and it does give you a sense of satisfaction when all goes as planned.
Yeah, I always enjoy watching the shot go off. I've worked closely with some really good powdermonkeys, and some that made me very scared. At least life in the vicinity of an incompetent powdermonkey is never boring.

How 'bout we just descend on Washington and fertilize the lawn at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue 'cause it's time we pi__ed on him for a change.
Taking "fertilizer" to DC is like taking ice cubes to Eskimos.
