Can a state be clinically insane? If so, California should be institutionalized, because they don’t come any crazier than this state.
A California art teacher banned her young student’s drawing of the American flag. She actually told the student it was “offensive.” Then the same teacher turned around and praised another student’s drawing of Barack Obama.
Her parents were pissed. We’re pissed. You’re probably pissed. And we hope anyone else reading this story gets pissed.
We’re thinking of moving our entire blog factory to Alabama or Tennessee or one of those other states that likes to spend big bucks to lure companies away from California.
A billion dollars should do the trick. We might even take a few bucks less.
And now we’ll just sit back now and wait for the offers to come rolling in, because we have to get out of this insane asylum.

Sounds like a made up story invented by a right-winged zealot, who can't find any real news supporting his irrational anger. There is no link to a reputable news source and the content of this story is ridiculous. As far as I'm concerned anyone who believes this story needs to step back and reevaluate themselves, because if you are really this gullible, then you're probably going to end up as either a cult follower, or a member of the tea party movement. ...Seriously people...THINK!

Are those reputable news sources, you unbearable horse's ass? Do you think all the local TV stations simply made the story up and decided to pull a big practical joke on the community and the nation? Does the story still seem ridiculous? If so, it's because the teacher's political correctness was ridiculous, not the reporting of the story.

I'm not going to debase myself by attempting to debate someone with your low moral fiber. So here is my only reply:
Media is not always truth. Stories are blow out of proportion everyday. The flag wasn't the issue... it was the word "GOD" which you know perfectly well (whether you like it or not) is not acceptable in schools.
That's the way it is. Unfortunate but true.
If I had my way we would stop hiding any religion and instead embrace all religions. Open minded acceptance of others is what this world needs. Not more censorship.

If anybody's interested I would like to look into starting a fund to put this young lady's flag on a billboard that the teacher would drive past everyday on her commute to work. I'm sure there is at least one billboard that we could put the flag up for a couple months.

The part I don't understand: A whole lot of American art since the 1960s was created and feted solely to offend people. The girl was simply participating in this tradition--the anti-Christianity, anti-American sentiments now prevail; people who use the flag in an un-ironic fashion are now the minority trying to change the established mode of thought.
(Also, "art teacher" needs to Google "Jasper Johns" then go ask her "art school" for a tuition refund. But then, if she knew anything about art, she wouldn't be teaching at a middle school....)

That young girl has the right to paint what she wants without an idiot making stupid comments on what is appropriate or not. The painting of obama that she praised was the mumbo jumbo.
