Dutch tax dollars at work: Holland introduces government dating service for unemployed women

Unemployed Dutch women are being offered a €1,400 (£1,150) fashion and beauty makeover and free membership of a dating agency to get them off the dole by finding a solvent husband.

Just your average Friesland woman desperately seeking a makeover and a man with money

We can’t figure out if this is the most brilliant government program ever or just another waste of taxpayer guilders.

The Times UK has details on the world’s oddest dating service:

Unemployed Dutch women are being offered a €1,400 (£1,150) fashion and beauty makeover and free membership of a dating agency to get them off the dole by finding a solvent husband. Single jobseekers will be given a new hairstyle and outfit, and tips from a life coach on how to attract a new partner or a job.

They will also be given instruction in social and presentation skills and a place on the exclusive matchmaking service Mens & Relatie (People and Relationships), boosted by a professional photograph of their new image. Mens & Relatie claims a 75 per cent success rate in finding long-term partners for its clients.

The thinking behind the scheme, organised by three councils in Friesland, in the north of the Netherlands, is that finding love helps to get the unemployed off state benefits by improving confidence, ambition and motivation. Some local politicians, however, have criticised it as unethical and a waste of taxpayers’ money.

Friesland is the ancestral home of IHateTheMedia.com’s editor’s family (back before they emigrated to the United States legally back in the 1880s). It’s a land of hardworking farmers and stunning blonde women. We’re talking really stunning blonde women.

Our advice: Save the money on the makeovers, Holland. Spend it on more dykes.

Another sign of the apocolypse: TV Land premieres “cougar” reality dating show

"Hey, Jimmy, was that your mom I saw whoring herself out for a bunch of young guys on TV Land last night?"
"Hey, Jimmy, was that your mom I saw whoring herself out for a bunch of young guys on TV Land last night?"

If you thought taxes were the worst thing to happen on April 15, think again.

TV Land premiered a new reality dating show called “The Cougar,” in which a 40-year old single mother of four searches for a younger man. A much younger man.

In case you aren’t familiar with the term, the Urban Dictionary defines a cougar as “A 35+ year old female who is on the ‘hunt’ for a much younger, energetic, willing-to-do-anything male. The cougar can frequently be seen in a padded bra, cleavage exposed, propped up against a swanky bar in San Francisco (or other cities) waiting, watching, calculating; gearing up to sink her claws into an innocent young and strapping buck who happens to cross her path.”

Twenty single men will compete to win the affections of this woman who’s twice their age. Week by week, young studs will be eliminated as a result of various weekly challenges.

“The Cougar” is produced by the same geniuses who brought you “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette.”

The company is reportedly exploring additional dating shows for gay midget quadriplegics, left-handed Irish transsexuals, and hermaphrodites named Ann and Andy. Stay tuned for more information after these words from our sponsor.

New dating site is exactly what the angry IslamoFascist needs to meet the woman of his dreams

You may have noticed the “Muslim Matrimonials” ad that pops up every once in a while in the upper left-hand corner of IHateTheMedia.com. We assume it’s legit.

But where can a jilted jihadist find the woman of his dreams? Where does a socially inept IslamoFascist find true love? And since alcohol is forbidden, what is an unmarried Muslim extremist’s alternative to a single’s bar?

Taliban Singles might be a good idea. Maybe even Osama Bin-laden would relax a bit if we could just get the guy laid.
