Obama “misspoke” about late mom’s health insurance problems

Obama claimed health insurers attributed his late mother’s cancer to pre-existing conditions and denied her coverage. A heartbreaking story, the only problem is it’s not true.

IHateTheMedia.com presents, “Liar or idiot: YOU make the call”….

During the 2008 campaign and the 2009 battle over his signature healthcare “reform” scheme, Obama claimed health insurers attributed his late mother’s cancer to pre-existing conditions and denied her coverage. A heartbreaking story, the only problem is it’s not true.

As they say in Tinseltown, "Bio-pic"

The Washington Examiner dives in the dumpster for us:

The news is in “A Singular Woman: The Untold Story of Barack Obama’s Mother,” a generally admiring new biography written by former New York Times reporter Janny Scott.

…Scott, who had access to Dunham’s correspondence from the time, reveals that Dunham unquestionably had health coverage. “Ann’s compensation for her job in Jakarta had included health insurance, which covered most of the costs of her medical treatment,” Scott writes. “Once she was back in Hawaii, the hospital billed her insurance company directly, leaving Ann to pay only the deductible and any uncovered expenses, which, she said, came to several hundred dollars a month.”

Scott writes that Dunham, who wanted to be compensated for those costs as well as for her living expenses, “filed a separate claim under her employer’s disability insurance policy.” It was that claim [emphasis ours], with the insurance company CIGNA, that was denied in August 1995 because, CIGNA investigators said, Dunham’s condition was known before she was covered by the policy.

Is Obama so stupid he can’t distinguish between health and disability insurance (some genius attorney!) or a stinking liar, the Prevaricator-in-Chief?

Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders says, “Get rid of the private healthcare companies”

Bernie Sanders, the independent socialist who votes with the Democrats on virtually every issue, said to get rid of the health insurance companies.

Bernie Sanders, the independent socialist who votes with the Democrats on virtually every issue, gives away his allies’ game with this comment on MSNBC:

“At the end of the day, if you are going to provide health care to all of our people in a cost-effective way, you have to get rid of the health insurance companies, not profiteering and bureaucracy.”

Ssssssh. Quiet, Bernie. The sheeple aren’t supposed to know that’s the real goal.

Will ObamaCare cause insurance premiums to rise by 17% for young adults? Or by far more?

The Associated Press reports that insurance premiums will jump by 17% for young adults under ObamaCare. But AP has, we think, under-calculated the real increase.

Depression and Sorrow
We hope ObamaCare covers young adults for depression

The Associated Press reports that insurance premiums will jump by 17% for young adults under ObamaCare. But AP has, we think, under-calculated the real increase.

Considering that young adults commonly go without insurance and then considering the fact that ObamaCare will now force them to buy insurance they don’t want, it seems to us that a more accurate description of the premium increase would be 117%.

The Associated Press reports the premium prognostication:

Under the health care overhaul, young adults who buy their own insurance will carry a heavier burden of the medical costs of older Americans — a shift expected to raise insurance premiums for young people when the plan takes full effect.

Beginning in 2014, most Americans will be required to buy insurance or pay a tax penalty. That’s when premiums for young adults seeking coverage on the individual market would likely climb by 17 percent on average, or roughly $42 a month, according to an analysis of the plan conducted for The Associated Press. The analysis did not factor in tax credits to help offset the increase.

The higher costs will pinch many people in their 20s and early 30s who are struggling to start or advance their careers with the highest unemployment rate in 26 years.

So welcome aboard the ObamaCare Express, young Americans. You voted for the guy and now you’ll be forced to pay more for a service you don’t want and can’t afford.

Ahhh, the glories of socialism.

Question of the Day: Where’s my $2500?

The president previously promised $2500 in savings per family. Quick. Run out and check the mailbox. Your check has probably arrived already.
