Before undergoing a sex change to become a woman, Monika Strub was a member of Germany’s neo-Nazi NPD party. But ten years later, she is running for Baden-Württemberg’s state parliament for the socialist Left party.

“I have completely broken with the NPD,” Strub told German daily Süddeutsche Zeitung this week, referring to the right-wing extremist National Democratic Party (NPD). “I am a true socialist.”

Strub was a member of the NPD from 2000 to 2002. Photos show “Horst Strub,” as she was known in the years before her sex-reassignment surgery, with cropped hair, a beard and a bomber jacket.

Today, the 35-year old nurse and photographer named Monika Strub is campaigning for the socialist Left party.

This explains President Obama’s approach to world affairs better than any other theory we’ve read.

A transsexual drug dealer has escaped a jail sentence after a judge ruled it would ruin his chances of completing a sex change.

Ian Morris, 41, who changed his name to Jean in 2009, is due to start Government-funded hormone treatment next week.

He was on trial after police intercepted nearly 2kg of the hallucinogenic drug ketamine which was sent to his flat.

Mr Morris’s lawyers pleaded with Judge Mark Horton to spare him a jail term because of his sex change operation and asserted that he would find it “difficult” in a male prison.

The judge agreed and suspended Mr Morris’s eleven month sentence at Bristol Crown Court.

Since his sex change is still in progress, wouldn’t it have made more sense to sentence Morris to a half-way house?

“While other cities are slashing employee benefits, Berkeley is slated to add one more: paying for sex-change operations,” the San Francisco Chronicle reported on Tuesday.

The Berkeley City Council was expected to vote Tuesday night on a proposal to reserve $20,000 annually for city employees’ gender-reassignment surgery, which is not covered by the city’s health insurance providers, the newspaper reported.

The benefit, to be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis, would allow employees to collect the money before the operation.

And now, friends, you understand why the town is nicknamed Berzerkeley.

Heartbreak Update: The sex change surgery vote has been delayed. According to KTVU.com, “The Berkeley City Council Tuesday night postponed a vote on a staff proposal to appropriate $20,000 a year to pay for sex-change operations for city employees. Dominik was a woman, Andrea was a man, and now after switching their genders they are a couple watching the son Dominik gave birth to, turn into a woman.

Fifteen years ago, Ilona Tomeckova, a woman living in eastern Czech Republic, left her husband and young son to move to Prague and become Dominik Sejda, a man, Czech Television said in a report on its website Tuesday.

After becoming a man, Dominik found it hard to find a partner for years, but two years ago he [sic] met Andrea Kajzarova, another transsexual who, before a sex change, was a man named Tomas Kajzar, a bodybuilder.

… After meeting Andrea, Dominik decided to resume contacts with his [sic] former family, only to learn in awe that his [sic] son Radim was in the process of turning into a girl named Viktoria.

“I found a sexologist in May, she sent me to different checks, including genetics. My diagnosis was always ‘transsexual’,” said Radim, whose biological mother Dominik now insists on calling her son “Viki.

And it looks like s/he at least pays her taxes, stays out of jail, doesn’t fight with cops, love Chairman Mao or thinks George Bush blew up the World Trade Center. At this point, s/he might be the best person Obama’s hired all year!
