If you thought the bad news was over for Democrats, you’d be wrong. Very wrong. And that’s what we call the feel good story of the day.

Fresh from a stinging midterm election defeat, House Democrats must quickly face another embarrassing spectacle: public trials for two of their most prominent members.
Reps. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) and Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), two senior House veterans, have opted to fight the separate ethics charges in public ethics trials set to take place later this month and extend into the first week of December.
Drawing criticism from Republicans, House ethics chairwoman Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.) last month announced the trials would occur after the elections. Rangel’s will commence Nov. 15 and the Waters trial will start Nov. 29.
To make matters worse for a party still reeling from their losses, Rangel, who is known for his colorful and rambling speeches, could decide to represent himself at the hearing. The Rangel’s trial would undoubtedly attract a lot of attention from the cable news shows.
“It’s like we’re kicking ourselves in the stomach when we’re already down,” one House Democratic staffer griped. “I’m not looking forward to it.”
We urge Democrats not to kick themselves in the stomach. Aim a little lower.

They need to be in prison. Charlie Rangel is the poster child for term limits and Maxine Waters is living proof that if brains were dynamite, she couldn't blow her nose--and both of them prove that you can elect anyone if the district is properly gerrymandered. I'd vote for a ham sandwich before I'd vote for either of these two--the sandwich is more honest than Charlie Rangel and a hell of a lot smarter than Maxine Waters.
Rangle & Waters will be looked into. As for gerrmandering, it's going to time to redraw the districts in short order, so this overal election victory by the GOP is that much bigger because of that.

Don't know about "nothing there". Considering their flagrant audacity, I'd suspect solid brass.
The Congressional Black Caucus seems to have more than its share of crooks and liars, Congressman William Jefferson (D-La) and Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-Tx) also come to mind. The CBC is all Democrats and this may account for the prevalence of thieves and socialists in the Caucus. Too, most of them run unopposed so there is little oversight of their financial shenanigans. And I'm a racist for even mentioning these facts.
Don't forget the only Federal Judge removed from the bench in almost a 100 years, Alcee Hastings.

When you "drain the swamp" you get to see all sorts of garbage up front and personal. Maybe Pelosi feels she has to stick around to collect the garbage, not realizing she "r" one.
I have mixed feelings about some of this. Do the trial later this month when the D's still head the ethics committee, and watch them give these clowns a slap on the wrist. Or put the trials off until January when the R's will chair the committee. Probably stands a better chance of a reasonable punishment at the expense of being called racists.
