The Associated Press reports, “A float called ‘Yes we can be ecologist’ depicting U.S. President Barack Obama, parades during the 126th edition of the Nice Carnival, Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, in Nice, southern France. The carnival’s theme this year is ‘King of the Blue Planet.’”
To tell the truth, we can’t tell if that damn thing is a balloon like you see in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade or something more akin to a Rose Parade float. But we’re going with balloon because the other answer screws up our entire premise.
So now, without further delay, the top ten ways the real Obama is just like the balloon Obama
- Both rose to the top as a result of a lot of hot air
- Both look down upon the masses
- Both come with strings attached.
- Both are willing to accept massive inflation
- Both are traveling an ill-conceived path toward an ill-defined destination.
- Both have very thin skin.
- Both are being cheered by third-world rabble.
- Both have swelled heads.
- Both act as if they’re above it all.
- It’s arguable as to which will be the bigger let-down.

The float's ears need to be bigger. The real BO has much larger auricles.
I think the small ears are symbolic due to his refusal to listen to the American people!
You guys spelled carnival wrong.
We gave it the French spelling to go along with the French location of the story. Sorry for the confusion.
That was my fault. It was spelled carnavale in the title, and I thought I was being smart taking the "e" off the Americanize it. I forgot about the "i"
Since it appears that the balloon version is carrying a stalk of broccoli - we can add to the comparison:
They are both offering us something we don't want and find distasteful.
