The U.K. today announced the names if sixteen people banned from entering the the country. These are people that Home Secretary Jacqui Smith said these are the sorts of nasty people that “Britain was not prepared to tolerate.” Among those named is America’s third most popular political radio talk show host Michael Savage, a personal favorite of the Administrator here (and boy is he pissed).
Isn’t Britain where Imams stand in the streets shouting Death to Jews?

I swear I will never visit England. (not that I ever was going to have the opportunity.) AS far as I am concerned I am as much a rabble rouser as Savage. I certainly am not politically correct.
FACE it .. this isn't the England of Robin Hood, Henry V or even Richard the lionhearted. Certainly, isn't the England of Elizabeth I or Shakespeare or Churchill. (I am surprised they still produce Shakespearian plays -- so culturally insensitive -so English ! )
This is nearly a mutant England. a diseased England that has lost its way. It has a cancer that will destroy it and has metastasized to every part of the body politic. This is an England that would not welcome its own ancient, great ancestors to its shores - ever read what Richard I did on his crusade? Churchill and WWII ? England has died.

Michael savage frequently advocates violence against others and eggs on others to carry it out. Sometimes he has been very specific as to the timing, means and targets such as when the 2004 republican Convention was convening. Savage stated on air " ~~Now I want 1500 people from the Bronx to get baseball bats and go over to where these commies ( demonstrators opposed to republican policies) are gathering and beat them to a pulp~~~" He regularly calls for jailing, exiling and punishment for those who oppose his views. He states that these people don't have right to live etc. He targets immigrants and others. The home secretary was correct. Britain has long banned hateful speech intended to incite. Britain knows the problems related to hooligans and soccer mobs and does not need Savage's "free speech".
Please stop referring to savage as Dr. savage. Sure he got a Phd in ethnobotany, hung around with some of the old beat cultural figures.. He became increasingly obtuse and aggressive then no one wanted to be around him or employ him. So he went out on his own. Here in Marin County, his neighbors shake their heads when he unleashes his unstable vitriol toward them.
I think you're missing the point here, which is not whether one thinks Michael Savage is cogent or not. You have to scratch around for some lame reference in 2004 regarding getting people to use baseball bats, obviouslhy an exercise in metaphor.
I find it amazing that Lefties like you never seem bothered by the daily hateful racist, murderous words and deeds of the Islamists, yet will pathetically scour around to find some pseudo reason to find any conservative commentator "dangerous"!

Problem is simple. Are we for free speech or are we not?
Is Freedom of speech also Freedom from hearing? What I mean is this - Is there a right not to hear what you don't want to hear? To silence those you don't agree with? We are beginning to be a society that refuses to debate and disagree with one another. We are afraid of being declared Fringe elements - what is wrong with being out the edge?
Why does England fear Savage? Fear people who actually want to blow things up - NOT people whose mouths don't have an off switch! England used to be haven for fringe elements.

Do you have a right to live in world where everyone is nice and everyone never says anything controversial? Is this a Hollywood cartoon with butterflies, fairies (no jokes please!) and snap dragons or is planet Earth, that dirty mean-spirited planet, third from Sol? Why be nice? We humans are never being honest when we get to sweet and syrupy . I am a polite woman, but I have been known to be rather acerbic myself!
I believe that modern liberalism doesn't allow free speech. I believe it is afraid of real discourse and debate. It is afraid of being questioned. It only allows speech it wants to hear. It calls all else "Hate Speech" -as pernicious a phrase as the devil ever thought up! It wants control of our minds and our pocket books. - it only allows the words, phrases, terms IT WANTS. It has a longer lexicon then medieval Catholicism of words that can you exiled- I am waiting for the next steps in it's persecution of dissidents (Yes, dissidents, we conservatives are now dangerous fringe elements!) * - imprisonment and execution. And its' lists of acceptable speech and unacceptable? one (the acceptable) gets shorter by the day and the unacceptable gets longer.

I listen to talk radio a lot .. REAL debate is always conservative debate. Some of the most interesting debate I have ever heard is on Medved,Though I enjoy Rush more. I am not fond of Savage. He is too acerbic for my tender 57-year old ears. But I support his right to exist. He is no worse than any liberal - just this week liberals were calling a harmless beauty queen whore and worse. It is OK when they are being A&*^ why can't we A*&^ every so often? Fair is FAIR.

The thing is called DEBATE. Questioning, It is a hell a lot of fun when it is done with a smile on both faces. It can even be illuminating. It used to be used as a teaching tool. What has happened to our culture is people are afraid of mental jousting? What ever happened to being just a little ready to pull out our mental swords? Oh, people here on the net will call you names but it is damn hard to find real, honest to-goodness debate.

Guys, it doesn't matter what we as individuals think about Savage's message. The problem here is that a supposedly democratic government is punishing someone for his political views, even though he has never to my knowledge advocated breaking any laws of that government, or ours. In fact, whether you like his style or not, he advocates the defense of democratic principles. In my opinion, this is a very big problem, but not a big surprise given the sad state of freedom in the UK.
Think about it, the UK took their subjects guns away long ago, there are more security cameras than people in London, and they are trying to legislate how long a knife a subject can have. If you want to see the predictable end result of socialism; helplessness, fear (even of words), poor health care, and a loss of cultural and political identity, just look at the UK.

I always liked Hannity. He gets such bad press from the left loons on Digg and HuffoPost and over at KosKids that I feel bad for him. He does a great job for conservatives and is a true patriot.
Olber"man"n once said that Hannity does all this just for money, but I heavily disagree. I think Hannity would continue doing what he does even if they paid him $1.
