Maybe we exaggerated the highly intelligent part. And maybe we stretched the truth when called it a sophisticated discussion.
In reality, this short video is an angry, ignorant union thug screaming at the top of his lungs about those stupid, damn Tea Partiers.
But it is amusing to see someone this ignorant calling someone else ignorant.

I think this "union thug" is none other than the semi-legendary professional cheerleader, and former school teacher, Krazy George Henderson, who claims to have invented the wave. http://www.krazygeorge.com/

Doug. You are absolutely right. This is Crazy George! If not, it's his twin brother. If it is, you can bet he was paid to be there and do his schtick which is to rev up the crowd. He shoulda brought his drum but then it would have been too obvious who he is. Bring in a cheerleader to a "spontaneous" protest is not at all beneath union slimeballs.
As Pop-eye used to say, "I can't stand's it no more!"
For the last week the news in Wisconsin has been flooded with panic over cuts being made to public spending in Wisconsin. The bill making the cuts has public unions losing a great deal of their collective bargaining rights and will have their members paying toward their health coverage and pensions. In the face of this the public sector unions have gone completely berserk. An entire school district was closed due to an unofficial and... ahem... 'unplanned' walkout / demonstration. Entire classes of students (high school through to university level) were taken from the schools to the demonstration sites, given banners and encouraged to join the demonstration.
The cuts are being portrayed as a terrorist attack on families and the common man.
I strongly beg to differ.
Four years ago in the US Merchant Fleet I started seeing signs of a slow quiet decline of the US economy. The last 2 years had us all witness its rapid and shocking collapse into deep recession bordering on all out depression. During this time most of the private sector companies in an effort to remain competitive, keep costs down or simply stay in existence have been forced to make major cuts. Companies that are affiliated with a labor union have also needed to make major cuts or concessions and many labor unions and non unionized employees have had to sacrifice a great deal in the face of the current economic crisis. Harley Davidson (Milwaukee, WI) in an effort to stay in business had to make HUGE cuts and its union work force had to make massive and painful sacrifices in order for the company to both stay afloat and remain in Wisconsin. Mercury marine (Fond du Lac, WI), the labor union work force employed there among other things took a wage freeze and took a 30% pay cut for new hires and workers called back from layoff.
The private sector union AND non union has been hit with layoffs, pay cuts, company collapses and hardship for the past 2 years. There isn't a person in the private sector that has not felt the effects of this current crisis.
Now we move to the public sector. The public sector has largely remained unaffected. It does not need to worry about profit margins. Any shortfalls are simply made up in tax raises in the next budget or referendum. The public sector has managed to float through this crisis with an air of immunity and unaccountability. Finally, in the face of a $3.6 BILLION state budget crisis demands are being made of the public labor unions and they are suddenly up in arms.
Like it or not the November 2010 elections were a statement from the electorate to the government. That statement was "You have bled us dry, enough is enough". The public's wallets have been ravaged by recession, bloated government and rampant taxation for too long and they demanded an end to it. Unfortunately the means to that end would be cuts to many government agencies / programs / funding. Nobody in their right mind should have thought this process would be painless.
One of these cuts is coming in the form of the public unions finally being called forward and being made to make concessions. They are facing losing most of their bargaining 'rights'.
They will keep the bargaining rights when it comes to salary but most others they will lose. Some more of what they are being asked is to pay toward their health coverage (12.6%). They are being asked to pay half the cost of their pensions. What they are being asked to do falls short of what has been demanded of many private sector employees and unions.
Suddenly though, the tax payer is supposed to forget about their sacrifices and hardship, rally around the public unions and support them in their fight against these cuts. We are supposed to forget that it is WE who are paying them. We are supposed to forget that only 3 months ago we voted out a big spending governor and state government and voted in a governor and government who we hoped would finally bring some fiscal restraint and business back into Wisconsin. We are supposed to forget that among other things it is the very demands of the public labor unions that are bleeding this state dry and pushing its budget shortfall to the $4 billion mark.
I honestly believe we need to stand fast on the demand that the public sector and government NEED to make cuts and financial sacrifices. We are being taxed to death while our state government runs about spending our money like it has no end. I am disgusted with the teachers union for forcing the closure of Madison schools. I am disgusted with the teachers that dragged their classes to the rallies, using ill informed and ignorant children as pawns in their dispute. I am disgusted with the public labor unions for basically spitting on the feet of the tax payer and demanding that their gravy train keep going. There is no respect for the fact that the people who are funding their current state of affairs have been financially beaten down. Have lost jobs and been forced to make huge concessions themselves.
I say enough is enough. The time has come for the public sector to lose it's immunity to this economic crisis and finally take responsibility for it's part in our state's out of control budget.
Rather than "Kill this bill" we should collectively swallow this bitter pill and steadily work our way out of the economic funk we are in.
I found it angering that one senator claimed that what the governor is doing is somehow "an end to the democratic process in Wisconsin". An amazingly stupid comment considering what is happening is the very heart of the democratic process.
Politicians were freely and democratically VOTED out of office because we tax payers have had just about enough of their spending and bloating of government. We the voters used the democratic process to vote into power politicians who promised to cut costs, shrink the size of our out of control government and finally bring our hideous budget back into some form of order and restraint. The politicians we voted in to do this task are now performing it.
Their skipping town like petty children and purposefully blocking the quorum vote is a clear example of politicians denying the public their right to democratic process.
Yes they should be fired. The public employees who are skipping work to demonstrate should be fired. This whole situation is just disgusting.
Now back to the US Merchant Marine union membership...
You wouldn't believe how many union members have conservative principles but need to bite their tongues because to do otherwise would be professionally suicidal.
I got into a debate with one of our thug union port agents over why we need to suffer working with absolute useless morons when there are so many good Merchant Marines sitting on the beach sucking on welfare. I don't see why we should let the inept remain in the union ranks. We should thin the herd and keep the cream of the crop working. I was taken to the side and had it explained to me that everyone has something they are good at and even if it isn't apparent it is my job as a Boatswain to help them find it.
So apparently not only do i have to bust my ass and make money for the company. Bust my ass and be a better worker than those around me to keep myself employed, I also have to take time to help the useless union mongoloid of the moment find his sweet spot in the working world. You know what happens then? You bust your fucking ass while the mongoloid fucks about in the shadows and then you get laid off and the mongoloid stays employed because he is cheaper right now and the union really really wants the company to keep him.
At work all I do is bust my hump, do the best job i can and leave the mongoloids to rot. I don't waste my time with them. My point is that the union mentality is that useless people deserve a place on the job site simply because as paying union members they are just as worthwhile as the better workers and rather than desire their firing and removal from the employment world we should somehow find a place for them or simply shut up and let them be. With this I totally disagree.
Oh and most of the morons I have bumped into are a complete detriment to any work you are doing and are more of a hassle and time waste to have around. In fact, I have been witness to several unnecessary accidents that resulted in the deaths of shipmates at the hands of some incompetent union mongoloid... And was the mongoloid prosecuted, barred from the fleet, or for that matter, even reprimanded? Hell no! they were given a drug test and re-assigned to a vessel where no one knew their history. Disgusting!!!
I myself have personally watched lots of people slack ass on a job just because they could. They didn't care. They were clock watchers just there for a check.
These libtard/prog/marxist/union thugs & silly dumbo-crat limp wrist sissies who think it's the states role to protect the feelings of every thin skinned whiner and the safety of every dumb-ass at the cost of the rest of us are the problem more than anyone else.
I can't believe the arrogance of these union thugs, they seem to think it's their god given right to collect money from people's pay to support their political efforts and get better deals for themselves than non-union workers.
The desire of Government employees for fair and adequate pay, reasonable hours of work, safe and suitable working conditions, development of opportunities for advancement, facilities for fair and impartial consideration and review of grievances, and other objectives of a proper employee relations policy, is basically no different from that of employees in private industry. Organization on their part to present their views on such matters is both natural and logical, but meticulous attention should be paid to the special relationships and obligations of public servants to the public itself and to the Government.
All Government employees should realize that the process of collective bargaining, as usually understood, cannot be transplanted into the public service. It has its distinct and insurmountable limitations when applied to public personnel management. The very nature and purposes of Government make it impossible for administrative officials to represent fully or to bind the employer in mutual discussions with Government employee organizations. The employer is the whole people, who speak by means of laws enacted by their representatives in Congress. Accordingly, administrative officials and employees alike are governed and guided, and in many instances restricted, by laws which establish policies, procedures, or rules in personnel matters.
Two quotes from famous "Liberal Heroes"...
"Particularly, I want to emphasize my conviction that militant tactics have no place in the functions of any organization of Government employees. Upon employees in the Federal service rests the obligation to serve the whole people, whose interests and welfare require orderliness and continuity in the conduct of Government activities. This obligation is paramount. Since their own services have to do with the functioning of the Government, a strike of public employees manifests nothing less than an intent on their part to prevent or obstruct the operations of Government until their demands are satisfied. Such action, looking toward the paralysis of Government by those who have sworn to support it, is unthinkable and intolerable. It is, therefore, with a feeling of gratification that I have noted in the constitution of the National Federation of Federal Employees the provision that "under no circumstances shall this Federation engage in or support strikes against the United States Government."
~ President Franklin Delano Roosevelt (D)
“It is impossible to bargain collectively with the government.”
~ That wasn’t Newt Gingrich, or Ron Paul, or Ronald Reagan talking. That was George Meany — the former President of the AFL-CIO — in 1955. Government unions are unremarkable today, but the labor movement once thought the idea absurd.
The founders of the labor movement viewed unions as a vehicle to get workers more of the profits they help create. Government workers, however, don’t generate profits. They merely negotiate for more tax money. When government unions strike, they strike against taxpayers. FDR considered this “unthinkable and intolerable.”
Government collective bargaining means voters do not have the final say on public policy. Instead their elected representatives must negotiate spending and policy decisions with unions. That is not exactly democratic – a fact that unions once recognized.
George Meany was not alone. Up through the 1950s, unions widely agreed that collective bargaining had no place in government. But starting with Wisconsin in 1959, states began to allow collective bargaining in government. The influx of dues and members quickly changed the union movement’s tune, and collective bargaining in government is now widespread. As a result unions can now insist on laws that serve their interests – at the expense of the common good.
Union contracts make it next to impossible to reward excellent teachers or fire failing ones. Union contracts give government employees gold-plated benefits – at the cost of higher taxes and less spending on other priorities. The alternative to Walkers’ budget was kicking 200,000 children off Medicaid.
Gov. Walker’s plan reasserts voter control over government policy. Voters’ elected representatives should decide how the government spends their taxes. More states should heed the AFL-CIO Executive Council’s 1959 advice:
"in terms of accepted collective bargaining procedures, government workers have no right beyond the authority to petition Congress—a right available to every citizen."
You, sir, are awesome.
I, absolutely, agree with Whiskey. The ONLY reason you don't have more thumbs up, Necron, is that most people have the attention spans of gnats......and they didn't finish the post.....just too long to read. Well, apparently, Whisly and I read it all. Should be read by everyone.,,,all the way to Wisconsin, as I believe, most would agree...even the clueless, mindless that are protesting with no concept of what they are protesting. I've had the same issue in long posts, past.....
What a well thought out, and well posted, post. Well done, Necron, well done.....
Thanks all... Usually I keep it short and laced with humor, but after reading the tripe on CNN and the AP today, I'm really pissed off and in need of a good venting.
Your vent is perfectly appropriate, and right on. What I want to know is who the idiot is that is giving this post, this thread, thumb's down. Must be one of the clueless, mindless I was referring to....
Come on....you know who you are!
"Must be one of the clueless, mindless I was referring to…."
Ergo; it must be a libtard/prog/socialist/dumbo-crat/running dog lackey of the imperialist union thugs.... May they all die slow horrible deaths when they've out-lived their usefulness to "the glorious revolutionary struggle" and their "chemo" is taken away by Obongocare Death Panels...
On the up-side, I had a great interview this morning with the HR Man of a old established private non-union company. With any luck, this time next week I will be bidding body bye to the union commie mongoloids and their "protect the lowest common denominator/punish the productive" philosophy and sick, sad political agenda of Anti-Americanism... with a substantial pay raise, better work schedule, 100% insurance coverage, 401K/Money Market/Stock Option Plan, and most important of all, a "promotion through merit" philosophy.
I will "pray" for your success, Necron...(yes, I said it...pray - as in reference to God!).....anything I can do to annoy a moronic liberal - I'm here to help!).
Being a licensed Capt myself and all...though not merchant marine....had that opp, and passed it by, long ago. After being an LtC in the Navy way back when....

BTW, screw unions and their idiotic, uneducated, lemming, current members (not referring to you, Necron).....reality is what it is....I could care less whether anyone likes it or not.....sorry to those of us WITH brains that can think for ourselves...being retired and all...again.....
Good luck!
I appreciate your thoughts, encouragement, & prayers.
You saved yourself a load of grief by not going into the USMMC... it's got to the point that MSC is almost totally ate up by corrupt back biting unions.
Personally, I prefer people who get riled. Seems to me the world needs a little more passion, not less, to set things right. As you can imagine, I got a lift from every single Tea Party rant at those townhall meetings last summer.
GO NECRON!! This is a rant that should be published on every blog site known to man!
The only problem I see is it may get deleted by whoever runs the site. Too much truth seems to hurt tender little egos and they don't want their readers to get their panties in a knot or they won't visit their little site again.
Are you talking about IHTM? I've never been deleted or censored by this place. In general, hard and fast rule, the more left a site leans the more they will censor and delete comments. I could never keep anything up at Huffington Post, for instance, and the New York Times' Paul Krugman is so scared of comments that he finally stopped taking them. (He was regulary getting taken to the woodshed for factual errors by fellow economists.)
At my own site, I recently had a first: guy wrote a comment with the "f" word in it. I'd never made a decision about whether I would allow profanity like that, but I decided, "Oh, what the f#@$, let it post."
We tread very lightly when it comes to censoring comments. It has to be pretty foul language for us to resort to censorship. We've redacted a few words here and there if someone goes too far over the top. We also delete an occasional racist or anti-Semitic comment. But we generally give our readers a lot of leeway.
That's funny. I posted on one site about Krugman, and I pointed out that the only time I've ever seen him list accurate economics information looked like he was lifting sections from someone else's Econ 101 textbook.
Apparently he didn't care for that, and told me he had a Nobel Prize. I told him that is one step below getting a medal of achievement from his mom.
Apparently, I'm not so welcome there anymore...
nothing krugman says has any real credibility, in particular in the context of economics. He is nothing more than a marxist schill, like all the others that support the idiocy of the administration, with zero concept of reality, in particular with economics.....
Romans 1:22 (New King James Version)
22 Professing to be wise, they became fools,
Unions have done jack squat for me. I can make my own contracts without someone taking a bit slice out of my earnings. This guy needs the union because he obviously doesn't have the necessary skills to make it without them.
If it wasn't for a union this guy would be on the unemployment line. Who'd hire this clown?
A living human oxymoron....emphasis on moron.
This moron knows he is so incredibly stupid he couldnt hold a job outside of the government. "Dats why I'm in da yoonyon. I'm waaay to stupit to tink for myself. Dats why da yoonyon tells me what to tink."
Looks like the average union member to me.
I wonder what subject this wizard teaches and at what school.
What makes you think he's a teacher? He looks more like a rent-a-moron yoonyon mimba to me. I bet he was bussed in from somewhere else, fed a nice yummy sack lunch an apple and a 16oz carton of OJ. He looks too stupid to be useful otherwise. But then again, looks can be deceiving...he might be a callij perfessir.
It would appear that Elmer Fudd is Charlie Sheen's dealer...damn
Another idiot who believes that if you shout something loud enough and obnoxiously enough then it must be true. I've been seeing a lot of this crap in Madison the past two weeks.
Still waiting for those videos that "prove Tea Party Violance"....
Liberals, are politically Insane.
Popeye's father is in the union! Who knew.
