We hate the nasty tone and predictability of most political attack commercials. But we love a commercial that turns a competitor’s words or deeds against him in a clever or dramatic way.
Like this one, for example. It not only damns Obama with his own words, his own actions and the haunting “O-ba-ma, O-ba-ma, O-ba-ma” chant of his supporters, but does it in a dramatic way that almost gives you chills.
Welcome to Nevada, indeed, Mr. President.
Now go away and take Harry Reid with you.

This is funny because I was blp.fm ing this song last week to twitter and facebook and no one thought it was special... Oh well, I'm just irrelevant I guess...
When he was in Vegas this weekend the President spoke and the crowds actually cheered. The financial foundation of this town is tourism, and this obama said, not once but twice over the past year, "don't go to Vegas." And yet, these fools cheered. Mind boggling. I said it after being here only two months - Vegas has more "mutants per square foot" than any other city in the country.
I dont understand what it is... if it is the fact that they are in the same room with him and he has some weird yu yu going on that only works on undisciplined minds... ?
If he said that about my hometown and I depended ENTIRELY on tourist money I would not cheered him nor would I if I didnt necessarily depended entirely on tourist cash because in some way some money is coming to me because of it.
It's not just Vegas. It has to be TV or something that's hypnotizing people and brain washing them. I cannot figure it out... But it's seriously demented...

In 2008 I thought the best anti-obama ad would just be pictures of his stupid fake seal and seas of adoring fans to the song "Cult of Personality" by Living Colour.
In 2012 we'll start a fad. Conservatives will hum that loudly at work all October.

...so who knows. At least Living Colour frontman Cory Glover said that song can be looked at from several different perspectives. In other words, songs mean different things to different people for different reasons. He was smart enough to lay off of any real political remarks, although I have an idea of where his political leanings lie. If he's not ranting on stage or on Mtv, I don't have much of an issue with whatever he believes. People pay to be entertained, not preached to.
