If Osama Bin Laden had read the latest batch of WikiLeaks documents a bit closer, he would have known that one of his couriers had been compromised and that we were hot on his trail.
The Atlantic reveals a heretofore unrevealed document:
We follow the news pretty damn closely, yet we didn’t know that a new batch of WikiLeaks documents had been released just a few days ago.
Looks like Julian’s 15 minutes of fame expired even before Bin Laden did.

I'm not so sure that Julian’s 15 minutes of fame expired before Bin Laden. There are those who believe Bin Laden has been dead for years. And though my mind is not made up one way or the other on that issue, those that believe Bin Laden has been dead for years have some pretty convincing arguments. So before you scoff, it might be in your own best interest to check into those arguments and their supporting evidence.

Hindsight being 20/20 and all that, if this came from that POS Manning, then our country knew the courier and the town several years ago. Why did they wait until 2011 for the loud bang?
About the only forgivable reason would be accumulating enough information to round up the lot -- but the cynic in me says that Barry wanted the photo op closer to election time.
Given that this operation wasn't carried out in tandem with a massive roundup, I'd have to say that we've been most shamefully lied to.
POS Manning? He exposed not only juicy tidbits of our own corruption, but that of dozens of countries around the world. Who knows, he may have jumpstarted the rise against dictators in the middle east. The man is a brave soldier of liberty and the original freedom that our country stands for.

While I can find stuff about 'faith and allegiance', I just don't see the phrases: "...and do whatever the f*ck I want" or "retaliate against policies I don't like". I can't see how a military can work on your planet.
Let's try to imagine a scenario. Suppose you're a war hero. You've spent your own money in the service of your nation. You were even given the position of a general -- so if anybody has the ability to make independent decisions, it should be you. However, you're disaffected -- you weren't treated as well as you'd deserved, and decide to give information to the world in general and your country.
Would you
a) be rewarded as a hero for doing what you could to bring the war to an end as early as possible?
or
b) be hated and mistrusted in your own country, and equally hated and mistrusted in the country you had aided to the point that you were burned in effigy on your own front lawn, and your name turned into a pejorative that still has meaning some 230-odd years later?
Time's a-wasting, Benedict Arnold -- make your decision.
You guys and gals can support this government that so blatantly defies the constitution it was sworn to uphold as much as you want, but people like me, manning, and Wikileaks will keep trying to expose the corruption of this country's government. (not just Dems obviously, republican majorities ignore the founding rules of this country just as often).
Ends justify the means? You sound like a liberal. This country's people deserve better than the betrayal ,lies, and coverups of lies that this government regards as normal procedure today. The only thing I don't support that Manning did was enlisting in the first place. When things hit the fan, it'll be your cherished military taking your guns and killing anybody that resists. Manning saw corruption, and he sacrificed himself to fight it. I would do the same. I am a Libertarian, I support Manning and Wikileaks and it's time for our government to go back to it's founding principals again, instead of sacrificing Americans to keep it's title of World Police.

Corruption is relative. I'll believe wikileaks is useful when they correct their sampling errors. Not before.
As to Manning? Useful idiot. The problem is, he has no idea who used him. Ask yourself how a private was able to even view all of this information. Nobody in any professional capacity thinks for a minute that he was the true source of this information any more than wikileaks is the source. He was a conduit, and deserves everything he gets just for being stupid. This is a classic false flag operation, and he's the chump, as are you for believing the leaked storylines as well as wikileaks' intentions.
As to your pseudo-bravery cleverly disguised as American Military Hatred from the comforting isolation of your internet connection -- it pales in comparison to the true bravery that actual soldiers exhibit merely by signing up. I am in awe of theirs, and I am in hysterical laughter over yours.

It just goes to show that OBL is nothing but a two-bit criminal-in-training, not a calculating mastermind. I'm not trying to make light of 9.11, but he got lucky once - and it was terrible for us. What has he done since? Nothing. Exactly....nothing. If if wasn't for us mobilizing and going to find him in Afghanistan and Iraq he wouldn't have killed another American since 9.11. I'm not trying to slight the wars either, I fought in Iraq twice, and enjoyed the service I provided to the country. I absolutely love our military. However, after fighting against Al Queda in Iraq I quickly found out they were a cowardly bunch and a joke there...they're a joke here in the US....the're a joke everywhere. The fact that OBL didn't even diligently read through the wikileaks shows that he was nothing but an absolute two-bit, moron, criminal, wanabe...not a mastermind - an idiot - a kid trying to play grown-up. If I was the most wanted man in the world, you'd better bet I'd be reading everything piece of intel I could get my hands on coming out of the superpower that was hunting me.

I knew about the new batch but I didn't know about this! Oh my goodness I wonder if this is what in the end twisted Obama and his administrations hands. If they didn't act the could loose him and never catch him because he would have re-doubled his efforts to be invisible.
I am hoping that Wikileaks finally does something useful and releases the photos that Obama should have released. Americans deserve to see the gruesome photos of a dead UBL so those images can burn into our memories...right alongside the gruesome images of our own dead friends from 9-11. Americans need a reminder that there is justice in this world, and that reminder means a lot more in the form of photos than in the ongoing announcements and ceremonies of a president we do not trust. A president who is ironically certain to be at the center of each photo opportunity of his own. We want to see our enemy dead, not our president smiling.

@caperthy- You have successfully done nothing more than establishing your viewpoint. I hate to state the obvious, but with the exception of FOX News, ALL of the media is left "leaning". Of course, if you don't do your own thinking, you think that ALL of the media is moderate and FOX is right leaning but that's another story all together.
