It’s no wonder Obama returned that bust of Churchill to the British government. He couldn’t stand up to the withering glare it was giving him.

Anyway if there is total gridlock I wish Obama would warn of disaster as he plants a potato patch on the White House lawn and warn Americans of the hard times to come.
You got the wrong quote to show their differences. Churchill promised Blood, Sweat and Tears (though the exact quote was different then it is usually remembered) and Obama promises hope.
If Churchill promised "blood, sweat and tears, I believe we can make it". His popularly would go up as he delays the fall of the West. No one is talking about the doom expect Armageddon nuts almost praying for it Gold hoarders stop money from circulating. Ron Paul also talks about economic doom but if the Fed is the Problem why are countries without a Federal Reserve System also suffering.
We can grow sprouts even barter them if currency disappears. And if people are a little slow to plant gardens everywhere, since in a disaster thieves would get there first. This is why Churchill is one of the greatest men in modern hsitory and zero is just a blip on the radar. Matthew's comments are right on the money.
Churchill was the greatest person of the 20th century, hands down.
Yeah, he had the thrist, but if you were fighting Hitler & had to rely on Stalin, you might be a boozehound at the end of the day too. I find it offensive that anyone would send the bust of Churchill back to the Brits, then again, Obama lacks class. He never had it, he never will, he can't buy it, & no amount of bullsh!t will change that.

I see the point though, that IHTM was trying to make. Compare a real leader, with the Dear Leader, and see which one had the fortitude to make the hard choices, and still come out on top.
It's obvious Dear Leader has no idea how to run a war, that's why I think we need to take the politics out of the damn fighting, and let the men with their boots in the sand call the shots. I assure you, THEY know what's going on.

Winston Churchill, at his drunkest hour, was so exponentially more astute than barry, in every category, it is insulting to Mr. Churchill's memory to discuss him in the same hour as barry soetoro.
That is like comparing Albert Einstein with eminem. It just doesn't fit.
And, though barry is the "leader" of our government, from day one he has divided and been loathed by so many of our countrymen, he is not the leader of America or its citizens.
The congress does what they want. His czars do what they want, and he has to either ram through bills on Friday afternoons(after the press have left the gallery in congress), or through parliamentary skullduggery, or jam laws he can't sneak past us into law by way of totally illegal executive order, or rules implementations within federal agencies(e.g., FCC and Internet). He is no leader. He is a con artist illegally occupying the WH. Whereas, Mr. Churchill was implored by the crown and the country to step in after they jettisoned (a little late in my opinion), the great appeaser Neville Chamberlain.
I think it is far more logical to compare barry soetoro to Neville Chamberlain.
Both men are chicken-shit pansies who have narry the testicles or intellect to know the difference between enemies and allies. And neither man was/is able to stand up to our enemies in any way shape or form. And lastly, as Chamberlain laid down his manhood at the feet of Hitler, a murderous Jew hater who wanted to murder all of those who didn't bow to his world rule, barry does and did the same, by flying around the world and meeting with all of the Islamofascists, bowing to them, and laying his manhood at their feet, only to allow them to waltz around unfettered and continue to terrorize the globe, and more specifically our ally Israel.
