The Obama administration isn’t good at much, but it has mastered the art of burying bad news by releasing it late on Friday afternoons.
The theory is that most reporters have taken off early to investigate the effect of bloody Marys on the human body, so bad news will get lost in the weekend shuffle.
Fortunately, this story didn’t slip by the folks over at The Hill:
The Obama administration approved 204 new waivers to Democrats’ healthcare reform law over the past month, bringing the total to 1,372.
The waivers are temporary and only apply to one provision of the law, which requires health plans to offer at least $750,000 worth of annual medical benefits before leaving patients to fend for themselves. Still, Republicans have assailed the waivers as a sign of both favoritism and of major problems with the law.
“The fact that over 1,000 waivers have been granted is a tacit admission that the healthcare law is fundamentally flawed,” Energy and Commerce Chairman Fred Upton (R-Mich.) said in March. Upton is one of three House committee chairmen who has used new oversight powers to investigate the annual limit waivers.
We haven’t yet seen this new list of exemptions, but if it looks anything like previous lists, it’s a hodgepodge of unions, healthcare providers and other big Democrat contributors.
Would someone please grant us a waiver from this administration?

I spoke to a dear friend who is unfortunately clueless lately and she laid all the problems of this country on the Republican and "their interests", although I agree that there are bad apples in every party and Republican are not exempt of blame from the handling of the country, I had to lay down some truth on this girl. This actually came up and I was just talking about the previous waivers, without any idea that there were new waivers. Yes again Republicans and RINOS have a lot of explaining and cleaning to do, but how can people be blind to the truth that Obama is just not good for this country, this article explains it well... Obama knows how to play the media so people like my friend who don't take the time to dig deeper only see and read what Obama wants them to. It is horrible to see this happening how a media can be thus controlled by a central government. The media has the blame as it was a willing participant in its bondage. Some of them even perhaps hope for bondage at the hands of Obama himself (I am talking about you here Chrissy). It is disgusting.
Don't all of these "waivers" violate the 14th Amendment? You know, that whole equal protection thing? Allowing some to do what others can't do, is a double standard, & should be illegal.

If the Progresso-American Community wants to increase government revenues, how about auctioning off waivers from not just Obamacare, but all other Federal regulatory agencies?
Corruption. Pure and simple. The majority of the American people did not want this legislation, but it was rammed through by the democrat-controlled congress and will now be meted out to only those it was originally intended for.. freedom loving, socialist hating, Conservative Americans who don't want the government controlling their lives.

It figures, garbage in, garbage out! The only way to take out the garbage is to apply for a temporary waiver and of course, be of the proper political persuasion and have enough money to grease the skids of the Chicago machine...they'll fix if for you, for a price!
