Call Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. Representative Barbara Lee of California has stumbled upon the greatest conspiracy of our era. An insidious plot that makes the faked moon landing look like the work of a high school AV club and that JFK business mere child’s play.
According to Lee House Republicans are engaged in a reprehensible canard meant to convince the gullible citizens that the fact that their country has run out of money is a “crises.”
The truth is out there. And CNS brings it to us:
Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Calif.) released a statement Monday saying the “debt crisis” has been “manufactured by House Republicans” who are “attempting to advance an extremist agenda.”
“The current, so-called ‘debt crisis’ has been completely manufactured by House Republicans attempting to advance an extremist agenda.
This should be a simple vote to allow the US Treasury to fund all of the programs and obligations of the entire federal government that are already in the law,” said Rep. Lee in a statement handed out to reporters before a Democratic press conference on jobs at the Capitol.
Rep. Lee has called for Congress to increase the debt limit with no strings attached like spending cuts.
It is clear to us now that our Republic is in good standing so long as there are public servants out there like Lee. Brave souls willing to defend this country against that nefarious and extremist agenda of fiscal sanity and sound economic policy.
Representative Lee, we salute you.

To show you the true idiocy of some progressives, I was on Huffington Post earlier and saw 3 or 4 people within a 10 minute span say the solution to the debt ceiling crisis is to "back up a couple trucks to the Fed, load it with cash, and pay off everyone. Then our debt will be 0"

Or just take the $100 bill engraving plate add 15 zeros and print one.. That'll do it too.
In the mid 90s I was in Mexico frequently. The ATMs and banks, any place that worked with cash, they were using the old Peso notes and the Nuevo Peso notes simultaneously. I got off the plane and hit an ATM right away. Max withdrawal at the time was 200 US I think. I get this wad of bills among which had a bunch of 1000 and 500 NP notes as well as a bunch of 50000 Peso notes and what not. I was just touring and was surprised and confused. Exchange rate just kept getting higher and higher for years.
The Idea of engraving a superscript 10 after the 100 on the hundred dollar bills, that's peachy.
I heard a possible solution to the deficit was to have the DoD return two jeeps and a toilet seat. But that was a joke.

It IS a manufactured crisis, brought on by HER party. We all that have common sense know that we have the receipts to pay the bills but not enough to run their stupid pet projects and that's the entire issue here. They won't give up their stupid side projects as their special interest buddies are squirming like the worms they are...
Let's be honest here. There are very few presidents who have lived within their means, some of the better ones being Mr. Wilson and Mr. Clinton in some aspects, and they were no Republicans. We all had a hand in the destruction of this country. Maybe we all just need to admit that entitlement states and fiat currency do not work, and end this progressive experiment.
True, this crisis is the inevitable result of a system put into place (or at least reinstated) generations ago and Republicans (Nixon completely removing us from tue gold standard and the outrageous growth of government by Bush) and others that should have known better (Milton Freidman's withholdings and various other monetary policies) have a share in it. In the end it seems to be an issue of power. If the power exists it will eventually be abused. Which is why the Founders were so keen on prohibiting those powers. Well most of the founders at least. It seems a shame. For every generation there seems no limit to the number of Hamiltons we are granted. But when it comes to Jeffersons ....there was only one.

I guess this pretty much answers the question of why Kalifornia is FUBAR. Trust me living here and listening to these people is like being in an episode of the Twilight Zone. The bigger the wack job your are, the more votes you get. And she fits with my previous therory that Liberal woman are Ugly, Angry and dress badly, it looks like she is wearing a Walmart greeters jacket. All while advancing their extremist Liberal Agenda. This is as close to playing the hate whitey card as you can get without actually saying it.
