One of Barack Obama’s Indonesian friends recalls that even as a child, Little Barry Soetoro was deceptive and manipulative.
At least that’s our take away from this anecdote in the New York Times:
In the compound, Mr. [Barry Soetoro] Obama often played with the two sons of the physician’s driver. One time, recalled the elder son, Slamet Januadi, now 52, Mr. Obama asked a group of boys whether they wanted to grow up to be president, a soldier or a businessman. A president would own nothing while a soldier would possess weapons and a businessmen would have money, the young Obama explained.
Mr. Januadi and his younger brother, both of whom later joined the Indonesian military, said they wanted to become soldiers. Another boy, a future banker, said he would become a businessman.
“Then Barry said he would become president and order the soldier to guard him and the businessman to use his money to build him something,” Mr. Januadi said. “We told him, ‘You cheated. You didn’t give us those details.’ ”
“But we all became what we said we would,” he said.
Yes, one became a banker, one became a soldier and one became a confiscatory leftist who thinks others are there to help him fulfill his redistributionist dreams.
That’s a beautiful childhood memory, damn it, and we found ourselves tearing up just a little bit as we read it.

Reminds me of the peek into LBJ's childhood provided by once LBJ sycophant Robert Caro in his multi-volume biography of that reprobate.
Totally off the subject, but another little tidbit was revealed from his childhood -"his neighbour, Mrs Satjakoesoemah, referred to him as the 'boy who runs like a duck'... Ha!
Dollars to doughnuts (or should I switch that around these days?) says the NYT had that pretty little interview since early 2008.
This is interesting... if it is true. I have no reason to doubt it of course this guy could say whatever just to get on the paper, but it is interesting nevertheless. To see himself as a user of people from so young says a lot about the man now.
obama would appear to hate just about everything American, if he does not go down in history as the greatest threat to the United States and the constitution I will be amazed, only wish he would have stayed in Indonesia, he could give their military dead his famous crotch salute he does for Americans, and he would not have to hide his feelings about all the great things Muslims have given the American culture? Stay over there Barry, we seem to do allot better with you out of the country!
At Columbia, Mr. Obama (Barry Soetoro) asked his friends Chip "Almond Joy" White III, and Carolyn Post Partum, what they wanted to be after graduation. Chip said he wanted to be a venture capitalist so he could use pension plan money and government regulation to force gas prices so high he could make a fortune on windmills. Carolyn wanted to be a medical professor at Harvard so she could make over half a million dollars rationing middle class healthcare, and live in a cool Cambridge apartment, and artificially inseminate herself once the progressives finally took over. Barry said he wanted to be President so he could make their dreams come true. Later they played rocks scissors paper to see who had to run out of the dorm and get the crack pipe.....
