At this point, it’s pretty well established that environmentalism is one part philosophy, one part hypocrisy. Take Bono, U2’s resident empty suit, for example.

Here’s Bono expressing his philosohy in Tokyo back in 2008:
“My prayer is that we become better in looking after our planet.”
The environmental group Keen for Green responded with high praise:
If your (sic) looking for an environmental role model, Irish rockstar, Bono (born Paul David Hewson, May 10, 1960), of the band U2 is a good place to start. Bono … participated in a tree planting ceremony in Tokyo Bay, Japan, in 2008, where efforts are being taken to turn a landfill into an 88 hectare forest. Bono has also been active in the Greenpeace community since 1993 when his entire band participated in a protest against a nuclear power plant, Sellafield, in England. And of course, Bono is self-reported avid recycler and drives a car which runs on ethanol instead of gasoline.
Now here’s Bono expressing his hypocrisy in Melbourne in 2010:
U2’S 360 Degrees tour, the most expensive rock spectacle ever, is here. The tour, with a daily running cost of $850,000, arrived on six 747 jets…
“You compare a tour by the number of trucks they use,” production manager Jake Berry said. “The Rolling Stones ran 46 trucks. We are running 55. This is the biggest.”
And here’s how the environmentalist groups responded:
(Sound of crickets)
And now, ladies and gentlemen, here’s U2 performing their international megahit, “We Are Big, Bloody Environmental Hypocrites (or Something Like That).”

I consider myself fortunate. I don't keep up with Hollywood, so I didn't even know who Jennifer Grey was till I googled her name...still don't know or care...lol. I don't go to the movies because I refuse to pay people to tell me that I'm an idiot. I can have that done for free thank you very much! I know that I am only one person and won't make a difference, but I feel much better knowing that their diarrhea of the mouth is not on my dime.
But those Jets were green! We swear!
Like this one?

That's frackin ugly
Come on, I know it was hacky, but a thumbs down?
I laughed.
Pope of the hypocritical green gospel!, Bono's the moral equivalency of an excess-loving evangelical televangelist; a pedophile catholic priest; a pharisaical baptist minister who's a porn-peeper; a liberal methodist who is generous with everyone else's money.
The list goes on and on and on...
I used to love U2 and Bono, but ever since he decided it was the US fault for pretty much everything and that we should be paying for everyone elses problems (which of course the US has caused), I refuse to listen to their music. He also bragged once that he avoided a hug by Pres. GWB -- "Since they disagree on many political issues, such as the war in Iraq -- though Bono notes that Bush did triple aid to countries in need -- Bono said he decided to "dodge the hug" and try to "hide behind the podium." Really?? A**hole.
That just did it for me. I got to admit that I like a lot of U2's music, but once I heard that I lost any respect I had left for the guy. You are going to be a cretin towards a man holding an office of higher importance that you will ever hold and who did so much good for the people that you claim to help and then brag about it?!
he is indeed a a**hole of the greatest kind.
Ditto!
He goes on a show and tells the story (which was at the National Prayer Breakfast, no less)...the idiot then repeats what Sen. Obama says to him after he sat down..."nice work with the hug dodge."
http://www.breitbart.tv/obama-praised-bono-for-dodging-hug-from-george-w-bush/
Then, at the 2010 National Prayer Breakfast, Obama calls for a return to civility. What a friggin' half-baked moron!
Both are worthless POS.
What do you expect from a kid who never finished high school? He's like a lot of celebrities. They don't have the intellectual capacity to question what's being fed them.
Meanwhile, I am proud to say my band travels in style...

& they make no apologies. They also were the first to play behind the Iron Curtain in 1984. 30 years & 15 studio albums & stronger then ever.
I loathe these self-righteous ecofreaks, who are unashamed to make a fortune out of the gullible public, preach eco-green dogma, then cunningly stash their ill-gotten gains into offshore accounts in the frevent hope that they'll avoid paying tax, whilst living the sort of high-life that most of us peasants can only dream about. Shitbags.
Bozo gives a penny from every dollar his charity recieves to do good work, he needs the other 99 cents for himself, adding up to millions of dollars. Hypocrite indeed. He's an A$$hole.
