Watergate, anyone? Fox News’ Brit Hume says the Mexican gun running scandal is moving from simmer to boil and is starting to remind him of Watergate. Hume asked the most famous question that was asked during that scandal.
The Daily Caller reports:
“This is a real scandal,” Hume said. “And once again, we have the classic question of what did the attorney general, for example, know? When did he know it?”
Hume likened Obama’s handling of the scandal to that of Nixon’s handling of Watergate, which ultimately resulted in Nixon’s resignation.
“This Obama Justice Department reminds me of nothing so much as the Nixon Justice Department,” he said. “You have the scent of high-level knowledge of serious wrongdoing and you have the smell of cover-up and I think the stench of cover-up on this gun-running operation is very strong indeed.”
To Nixon’s credit, he never promised us the most open, most transparent administration in history.

Why isn't any of this in the lamestream news? I don't read, watch or listen to much news, but what I do usually gives me the top 20% of the crap that's being reported. So why hasn't this been in that top 20%? Why isn't this huge news?

Just wait until Holder gets the subpoena to testify in the wrongful death suit of the border agent. This whole program smells, from conception to it unraveling. It was an attempt to destroy the 2nd Amendment and those who support it as well as supplying the Mexican Cartels with the fire power in order to wage an all out assault against US law enforcement.
I want to hear all the liberals and gun control advocates attempt to justify this fiasco. This mess rolls all the way to the Oval Office and barry.

As far as presidential scandals go I've never thought that Watergate ranked all that high. An accurate appraisal must certainly have it lower on the list than say Clinton selling ICBM secrets to the Chinese or Kennedy having the election of 1960 stolen for him.
Joe Sr. bought that election for him, fair and square. Okay, he didn't pay for all of it, his old buddies helped. Mafia? Unions? One doesn't mess with the other since its the same operators. There was a movie that starred Burt Lancaster, one of my favorite actors, titled "Executive Action" I think. Mid seventies I think. Great flick, I'm sure of that. Although the likelihood of LBJ and CIA involvement is more in line with the real history, the flick tends to implicate right wing extremism.
When JFK won the nomination over LBJ, he sent his brother RFK to tell LBJ that Adlai Stvenson would be his running mate. LBJ jammed his bratwurst size finger into RFK's chest to exclaim 'tell that son-of-a-bitch brother of yours that I am his running mate unless he wants to lose every goddamned state in the south', or words very much like that and quite to that meaning.
Hillary and her cronies were able to make Vince Foster bleed uphill after shooting himself in the head with no residual splatter. That story never really got the attention it deserved. Similarly, Kathy, the wife of Danny Ferguson, a state trooper who worked on Clinton's security detail when he was Governor of Arkansas running for president, yeah anyway, Kathy died of a self inflicted shotgun blast to the back of her head while sitting on her couch watching TV. Ron Brown died of a warning shot to the temple in a plane crash shortly after his willingness to testify about a number of things his old friend Billy wished he wouldn't talk about.

I remember learning about Watergate in high school, my class mates all looked at each other with bewilderment. We didnt quite understand why this was such a serious offense, because we grew up in elementary school during the Clinton years and were in high school during the terrorist attacks and the beginning of the Iraq War. As far as we knew, or assumed atleast, politicians always did underhanded activities or spied on eachother. Its sad that we grew up expecting that it was always business as usual in Washington.
This is the biggest scandal since Watergate and it will never go anywhere. And not because of the MSM. It's because Obama and Holder are black. They will not be charged with anything out of fear that it could and I'm sure it would, create a firestorm the likes of a nuclear bomb detonation. If that is not the case, then why hasn't someone in Congress gone after Obama on his birth certificate, Social Security number? Obama and Holder have a "Ticket to Ride" anywhere they want.
The other day I saw a clip of Rep. Scott of S. Carolina saying F&F has risen to the level of "impeachable offense"; let 's hope the GOP keeps up the pressure.

Ahhh.....But there is a BIG difference between Watergate and "Fast and Furious".
The MSM hated Nixon and was highly instrumental in bringing him down. Today, the MSM loves Obama and will ignore this story or bury it after the Michelle Bachmann gaffes... every chance they get. They will be highly instrumental in keeping this thing from becoming Obama's Watergate.
Anyone who compares these two scandals will be labeled racist.
LA Sunset, the MSM's heads must be swimming wondering where to direct this story. First, they want to protect Obama, but they also owe loyalty to all those "undocumented citizens" that have been shot at with these guns. How will they manage to spin this so it won't hurt Obama, and still show outrage at how those poor, unfortunate illegals have been victimized.

It is sad to say but Americans in general can be easily distracted. A lot of people just don't want more bad news and they still want to give this guy a chance (that he did not earn).
I agree, LA. The big battle now is to get this all over the internet to counter the non-coverage from the msm. Otherwise this won't become a watergate simply because the msm won't allow it.
