Nothing’s going right for the global warming scammers these days. Sadly, we must report that Toyota’s Prius has an overheating problem.
ABC Australia has the seemingly contradictory details:
Japan’s Toyota Motor has offered to fix around 650,000 Prius models worldwide to repair a defective engine coolant pump, in a move it said was not a recall …
The world’s largest automaker said it would “voluntarily” replace a pump controlling the temperature of the hybrid engine system, which may cause overheating if it does not work properly.
Got that? The car touted as the cure for global warming has a defective coolant pump.
You cannot make this stuff up. And even if you could, why bother? Just wait a day or two and another one of these wacky stories is sure to pop up.

I heard while Toyota is repairing your Prius you can get a loaner so you don't miss a moment of looking smug while you drive.
Makes me wonder when the first Chinese knock-off will hit the streets. It will look like a prius but have a recycled, early 90s GM 3.8 v6 with worn rings in it.
Another hit piece put out by the lapdog media to help their guy's public car company.
A guy I know works for Yoda. The data recorders from many of those "stuck" gas pedals showed the cars had the pedal depressed and no brake applied at moment of impact.
Every car company has issues. My VW biodiesel has cooling pump problems too. Some engineer thought it would save money to build a water pump impeller out of plastic. Eventually, the blades break off and cause overheating until you spend $30 on a brass one.
I hate prius drivers as much as the next person but please see this hit pieces for what they are.
And Toyota loses money on every Pious it sells.

There was a report a few years ago about the Prius being one of the most environmentally unfriendly cars ever made. This was because the electric engine carried a separate lithium-ion battery that's production put more pollutants into the air (before the Prius had been driven mile one) than a Hummer could account for before it had logged -something like- a hundred thousand miles of drive time. And the real kicker was that this battery would only last for a hundred to a hundred and fifty thousand miles.
I also like to point out that any surplus in gasoline that this vehicle is responsible for will be consumed by the Chinese. They will use this gas for their war machine and to further oppress the peoples of Tibet. The Prius therefore -in my estimation- is a racist hate machine of imperialist oppression. Spread the word.
I always knew those Priuses were hot cars. (Except then they're in the fast lane holding up traffic).
