Damn those American people. Damn them to hell and back. They’ve gone and disappointed MSNBC’s Chris Matthews again. Disappointed him horribly, in fact.
How? By telling Gallup that the greatest president in history is Ronald Reagan.
“The greatest president in history according to the American people with their limited memory is Ronald Reagan,” Chris sputtered. “Keep in mind these are not historian rankings, these are people’s. By the way you should insist, before anybody participates in one of these ridiculous polls – please list the presidents and then pick the best. Don’t just go with the ones you can remember. It’s like the greatest movie of all time was the one I just went to.”
Just one problem with that “the greatest movie of all time was the one I just went to” theory, Chris.
Reagan got 19% of the votes, but every subsequent president got fewer votes, including Clinton who got 13%, Barack Obama got mere 5% and Jimmy Carter who somehow got 1%.
You might want to start working up a different excuse, Chris.

Chris you are an IDIOT.
Idiot.
... on steroids.
So, if Matthews was the last newscaster I watched, would I think he was the best? Not likely.
Matthews was part of the Carter administration. sounds like sour grapes to me
Matthews wishes he was the meat in a Clinton/Obama sandwich. They'd call it the "Toasted Two-Leg Tingle." No need to add mayo.
Limited memory? Geez, Chris, limited memory beats no memory hands down.
Hey Chris, even if you consider this an unscientific straw poll--Dumbo still got smacked! I know how you feel, bile tastes like, well...bile.
And we thought "Dumbo" was a figment of Walt Disney's imagination.
I'm getting a tingling sensation running up and down my backside after reading Matthew's comments.
