• Obamie is a child. He hates opposition and even though he is wrong, he cannot accept that he is wrong and doesn't want anyone to tell him what to do. Whenever he goes on press conferences, I can totally feel his frustration. "Why aren't people bowing to me? I won! I am President! That should mean I get obeyed..." It is pathetic. Yo where is child king? He could totally bring it home on this thread.

• This shows the childishneww of the President and his ilk. Whether any new organaization is reporting the way you want it to, the proof is in the reading (listening, watching as appropriate.) If the reporting is crap, people stop listening and quit buying that paper or turn the channel on that station. ALL media outlets slant their stories, and I figure to some extent they cancel each other out. Interesting that right now the majority are toeing the Obama line, and he is pissy that ONE station/news outlet does not buy into his crap. Seems his treatment of FOX just reinforces what they are saying-if it was a lie, he would ignore them!

      • I have had XM before Sirius launched, & now that they have merged, I get Wilkow, Church, & Cam & Company(NRA news radio). Plus I get Quinn & Rose as well. I still have it, & I have reupped long term.

        • The reason I dropped it was they kept screwing up. I had 2 radios, and they kept shutting the 2nd one off every 3 months, and I paid for a 1 year sub! No amount of complaining, screaming, and gettingthe problem elevated up the corporate ladder got it resolved. I threatened to not renew and they didn't believe me. When I called and told them I wasn't renewing, they must not have believed me. They left the radio on for 3 more months, and then tried to put me in collection for not paying the bill! That's the only reason I don't have it any more.

• I'm not a huge fan of FOX , but cannot stand the constant propaganda of most , if not all of the other "news outlets ". When race is almost always left out in description in crime reports , when political party is left out in corruption busts, when citizenship is left out in violent crime and home invasions in the southwest , when ethnic cleansing in sothern California goes unreported , when a " very much in trouble " Nuclear reactor in Nebraska in blackout by all the medias , only true idiots like OBLIVIA and her kind of pretend Americans think there is unbiases news , except for FOX.

  For a home with nasty cockroaches everywhere , it a great thing to watch them run for cover when the light is turned on. So it is in the news . Conservatives want and need to be told the truth and liberals hate and run from the truth .

    It's not always left out. If the politician is a Rep, you can usually find that fact in the first paragraph, if not first sentence.

• Every story I've seen in the MSM about the hacking scandal in Britain contains at least one hopeful reference to possible repercussions on Murdoch's operations in the US, mainly Fox News. This comes despite the fact that there is not one iota of evidence that Fox has ever done anything remotely resembling the crimes committed by the New of the World weasels, and despite the fact that the criminal Julian Assange is regarded as some sort of secular saint by most members of the MSM.

  • The timing was also interesting as it came right before he could finalize his bid for control of a satellite company in England. A reporter in England stated that this is not exclusive to News of the World either. British junk media is notorious for this behavior and it is not something that started nor ends with Murdoch. Since these allegations have been going on for decades, now to stop something that can benefit Murdoch, they came forward and now they are trying to tie it to Fox News... it is pathetic.

    • I wonder if the woman in charge when this happened was a plant.

      • I would like to know for how long as he owned that periodical? If he acquired it in less than ten years, this was a practice of individual journalists and perhaps editors way before he owned it. Did he know about it or not? The lady in charge is one of his most trusted protegees for what I gathered, so I doubt that she was a plant. Do not know if she knew either. This seems to be a practice that dates decades so if this is a considerably recent acquisition, this is not something that had its genesis with him nor the woman that ran it. So it depends if he (and/or she) knew or not and did nothing to stop it.

        Overall though I guess we will see what is what, but I got to say that the timing is interesting nevertheless.

        • He acquired it in 1968. Then he bought THE SUN in 1969.

          Rebekah Brooks had worked for Murdoch since 2000 beginning with NEWS OF THE WORLD 2000-2003 as editor, then THE SUN 2003-2009 (editor) and lastly as cheif executive of NEWS INTERNATIONAL 2009-2011.

          This article doesn't paint a pretty picture of her.

        • And it isn't the first time that News of the World has been accused of using these methods.It seems that nearly all of the UK's papers do it as common practice. So, like you say, why now and why just Murdoch's tabloid?
