When a guy reaches the ripe old age of 40 with no accomplishments on his record yet still manages to churn out two autobiographies, you’d think he’d need to dredge up every possible story from his past to fill a few pages.
But, no, not if that man is Barack Obama. If you’re Barack Obama, your life has been so eventful that you actually need to suppress a few memories.
Like this one, for example:

Not shopped...Obama never denied the authenticity of the picture, which was taken on an official trip to Kenya in 2006. He was being dressed as a tribal elder. It was after the photo was leaked, reputedly by Hillary's campaign, that Team Obama went on full throttle offensive, saying that, "her campaign has engaged in the most shameful, offensive, fear-mongering we've seen from either party in this election."

If nothing else, whether Obama is a Christian matters because Obama himself has frequently identified himself as one. So, if he were lying this whole time, it would reflect badly on him.
If George W. Bush's grandfather raised money for the Nazis, how is that GWB's fault? Are we responsible for things our relatives do? Also, if indeed the Bush family made its fortune from wars, I don't think that's really a problem unless they were engaging in war profiteering.
The kennedys made there money from running illegal arms and alcohol during prohibition. That is the equivalent of a drug dealer today, and you don't seem to have much issue with that. Is it because you are so blinded to reality that you can't admit that they did something illegal? I personally do not believe Obama is anything religious. That would require a belief in something greater than himself, which seems notably lacking in his speech and actions. I believe the Christian identity is one he took on because it would sit well with most voters in politics. And if his background is so innocent, why did he feel the need to seal all of his records and history. The stories of Bush's drinking and partying, the fact that he went in the national guard rather than go to Vietnam, that he was a C student at college were drawn whole cloth from his background and records. Obama hid his, which makes you wonder what he was involved with that he felt the need to seal everything. Even if there is nothing, it gives the appearance of a coverup. Add to that no-one ever remembers him from any college or law school course, and it raises more suspicion. If he had nothing to hide, he should have let the information come out naturally, and people would have been less likely to distrust him and speculate about the real reason he sealed his records.

Bush was a Republican progressive, he had good points and he had bad points. Many points are indefensible many are defensible.
