Is Obama a closet Republican?

obama-republican

You’d be forgiven for thinking so if you read a recent article on Politico.com that says, “President Barack Obama took a swipe Saturday at top Senate Republicans for opposing a financial regulatory reform bill, accusing them of taking their cues from Wall Street special interests.”

Problem is, it would be extremely difficult – if not damned impossible – to find a politician in Washington more in debt to Wall Street special interests than Barack Obama. To be specific, by the end of June, Wall Street had already given Obama $9.5 million.

Even liberals blush crimson at the thought of Greatest President In History’s campaign coffers overflowing with Wall Street money. An article on the Huffington Post titled “Goldman Sachs, Obama, Money” says “Goldman Sachs employees gave just shy of a million dollars to the Obama campaign, ranking second in contributions. Citigroup and JPMorgan ranked sixth and seventh. Goldman Sachs gave Obama four times more than they gave McCain.”

This is one big fat ugly chicken that is coming home to roost.

New York Times columnist David Brooks is appalled. “Over the past few years,” he writes, “people from Goldman Sachs have assumed control over large parts of the federal government. Over the next few they might just take over the whole darn thing.”

Closet Republican? Probably not. In fact, if speaking out of both sides of your mouth is a trait of Democratic politicians, Obama is the biggest Democrat ever.

  • Hey, Sam! We're calling you out and if you are the conservative you formerly claimed to be, just posting lib talking points to make the American left's arguments appear as vacuous as they really are, then you are doing a great job!

If you are the liberal P.O.S. you wound up tipping your hand to be, then PLEASE answer these posters concerns about Dummycraps who have their money tied up in oil wealth... or at least tell me what Olbermann ate for his three squares yesterday.

  • I have to wonder if Sam was upset to find out that Obama took 7 times MORE money from Government Sachs than the horrid, evil, slimy President George Bush took from Enron? Where you upset about that Sam?

    • Did you guys get upset that Cheney was directly profiting from war?

So now that Obama is running those evil wars for oil does that mean that he is getting all the money, or does he cut Cheney a check every month? Seriously . . . I'd really like to know.

    • You don't seem to be upset about this one Sam:

What proof do you have that Cheney profited from the war? Haliburton? Bill and Hill own Haliburton stock. Took some campaign cash from them back in the day. So did a number of prominent Demosocialistocrats. But I guess you'll be raising the same kind of hell about Babs' and hubby being directly linked to it...right? I mean, she's in so deep, she had to resign her chair. Surely you feel the same moral outrage you felt when you accused Cheney. Right?

    • ...like LBJ and his illustrious Mrs.?

Sam, don't you have a butt reserved somewhere for your nose? Oh, there it is over there! There's a sign reading, "Keith Olbermann... no line, no waiting!"

  • I would think some of Obamas campaign contributions came from those pesky 'Bonuses'!

These two are obviously in cahoots. Anyone notice how quiet Goldman Sachs has been since the story broke? They must not mind so much.

This does smell VERY fishy! I feel like we're in a game of chess with Friedrich Sämisch, and I'm afraid he is about to yell "Check."
