Leftist Huffington Post plays taps for Obama’s socialist agenda

In the words of fabled Los Angeles Lakers announcer Chick Hearn, “This one is in the refrigerator, the door is closed, the lights are out, the eggs are cooling, the butter’s getting hard, and the Jell-O is a jigglin’.”

In other words, the game is over.

  • AOL's acquisition of the Huffington Post (for $315 million) was a great move. Prior to this acquisition one could only receive the wisdom of Marx, Ingles and Trotsky; now with the advent of Arianna Huffington's progressive guide one can also be given the vast knowledge of Mao, Pol Pot, Che Guevara, Fidel Castro and that great bulwark of progressive freedom Stalin. An added benefit is that Arianna being born in Greece has no constraints in eliminating that nasty little impediment to achieving the socialist utopia, the First Amendment. Arianna however does not limit herself only to leftist agitation. Indeed her credentials as a serious activist were nurtured when she was a disciple of Indian guru Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh (the Rajneesh cult spread potentially lethal Salmonella bacteria in a small Oregon town. Rajneesh cult members did this as a way of infecting and incapacitating town residents on Election Day so that cult voters could win control of the local government). Additionally Arianna is an ordained minister of the John-Roger cult, the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness and her mother Elli was active in the Communist-led Greek resistance. Arianna a comrade in arms with the common man manages her numerous progressive activities from the confines of her small and ill equipped $7-million house.

  • He is an handsome man and that picture doesnt do him any favors. It is a bad shot.

Glenn Beck is right though. It is too much pressure on one guy also he is still a politician and although exciting we need to know if he is trustworthy he talked the talk now he has to walk the walk and I for one wish him well.

    • KQ, that's why the HuffPo chose it. Believe me, they had better pix but why would that far left rag want to use a great shot of him? Since they can't change the election, they'll just use a crappy photo.
All media do it to some degree and have done it for decades. I learned that waaaayy back in the day majoring in journalism in the late 70's when being a reporter was a respectable yet low paying profession.
Do you remember Leona Helmsley? The infamous "Queen of Mean"...her 'only the little people pay taxes' remark made to an employee. I NEVER saw a picture that was even remotely good, much less flattering. Pretty much all the media ran the most horrible pictures of her where she looks like she's screaming her head off.
Before computers, newspapers would have old-school file folders with photos of celebs, politicians etc, (lots from the AP & UPI) and would pick a photo based on the slant of the article and news editor.

      • Uhm I remember this slightly because she left her money to her dog or something right? Yeah I can imagine that a villain (in the eye of the journalist, editor, etc) would be presented with a bad picture or a non photoshop one (while they photoshop those they like) or a photoshopped one that makes them look bad like the UK picture of Sarah Palin with lipstick tubes from head which I suppose are devil horns.

Remember the picture that Newsweek took from a running magazine? there were some seriously idiots liberals that actually asked "why did she pose for newsweek like that?" I was like "really? Do you really think she is that stupid?" ugh... I was pissed.

        • Yes, she did leave millions to her dog. Actually, the only good picture I think I ever saw of her was her mug shot! LOL!

The Newsweek fiasco just underscores the legions of "Junior High Journalists" that are spawning across the country. The latest that I cannot stand is CNN's iReport...what a joke! Anybody with a cheese-ball camera phone can be a reporter! (Ooohhh...I work for CNN now!) They've just melded it into their regular news, but you have to look for a little red CNN logo at the top to know that it's been 'vetted'.

Yeah, uh-huh, just like the MSM vetted Obama. More like the fox guarding the hen house!

          • Hey, even our esteemed Ed &Ad do it. Why use the best picture you can find of Michelle Obama when you're running a story highlighting something hideous about her behavior? You use a picture that fits what you're trying to say about the person.

          • That is fair. However this is a picture of him where it is stated that he won, so it just seems like the person didn't want to highlight that he was the better candidate. However as we have come to realize he is a RINO.

          • He did. I am sure he meant a lot of it, however Glenn Beck called it. He was unsure about the guy and he was right. Brown likes to spend money too, just not as fast and loose like Democrats, but still bad. We need someone that looks good, says the right things AND does the right thing. The last part is the part where a lot of people fail miserably.
