Entering the British House of Commons is like jumping into a shark tank. If you bleed, you die.
This video clip shows British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher’s final moments before the House of Commons back on November 22, 1990. You can’t help but feel pride as she defends her brand of conservatism against the attacks of British socialists.
My god, she was a tough old dame. And we say that in the best sense of the word.
When will some young conservative to step up and become the next Ronald Reagan or Maggie Thatcher?
C’mon, we’ve never needed you like we need you now.

You ask the rhetorical question - where is our Thatcher or Reagan now? In my opinion, she is daily being pilloried by the left because her daughter had a baby out of wedlock, and her membership in the NRA is not popular, and she wouldn't bow to the PC police, and her husband is an oil man, and she didn't abort her downs syndrome son.....
Or, she is being harassed because she refuses to tow the line on so-called gay marriage, and being found on the internet, oh horrors, modeling.
We have our tough birds, and they will fly at the right time.
A particular thing is not 'so-called' - it is exactly what it states it is, much as some people believe in a God, even though there is no evidence for its existence. At least in the case of 'gay marriage' it exists by virtue of the fact that, well, it actually occurs.
Skipping over the part where you're responding to a comment made three years ago....
A large part of the debate in the first place is over the definition of marriage. As it stands, gay relationships aren't covered in the legal definition of marriage, so using "so-called" was appropriate.
Lesson of the day- if you're going to be a dick over word choice, at least make sure your criticism is accurate.
Thanks for posting this - God love Margaret Thatcher.
I recently returned from a trip over to England and was amazed to walk in the footsteps of PM Churchill but was saddened to think of what he would think of the state of affairs there now. He is famously quoted as saying "The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.
PM Thatcher was saying as much and I don't really see how any intellectually honest person can argue that point. One can only hope the Brits will wake up and elect another Churchill or Thatcher.
You can see why Ronald Reagan loved her.
