And while he’s on a roll, Max Baucus admits healthcare bill will break Obama’s tax pledge

Thursday was a big day for Montana Democrat Max Baucus. First he admitted that ObamaCare was really about redistribution of wealth. Now he admits that it will cause President Obama to break his tax pledge to the middle class:

“One other point that I think it’s very important to make,” Baucus said, “is that it is true that in certain cases, the taxes will go up for some Americans who might be making less than $200,000.”

What? Gasp! We are shocked. Shocked, we tell you. Who ever could have foreseen the day when Barack Obama would need to backtrack on one of his campaign promises.

Why, next thing you know, he’ll hire a tax cheat to run the Treasury Department.

  • I just love how he says this like it is not a big deal. We are just going to have to deal with it. Not him though. I am sure of it.

  • Joe,
we get it, the real problem is machine/identity politics. Baucus is careful to stay on the good side of the NRA that not much else matters. That and our big centers like missoula and Bozeman are big university towns and government is a big employer in the state. The rest of us can't stand the bastard.

  • Memo to Citizens of Montana:

DON'T YOU PEOPLE GET IT? YOUR POLITICIANS ARE A REFLECTION OF WHO YOU ARE!

The next time I hear someone touting how great and industrious and common-sense the people of Montana are I am going to have to fight back the vomit.

If you are, who they say you are, THEN GET RID OF MAX BAUCUS!
