And while he’s on a roll, Max Baucus admits healthcare bill will break Obama’s tax pledge

Thursday was a big day for Montana Democrat Max Baucus. First he admitted that ObamaCare was really about redistribution of wealth. Now he admits that it will cause President Obama to break his tax pledge to the middle class.

Thursday was a big day for Montana Democrat Max Baucus. First he admitted that ObamaCare was really about redistribution of wealth. Now he admits that it will cause President Obama to break his tax pledge to the middle class:

“One other point that I think it’s very important to make,” Baucus said, “is that it is true that in certain cases, the taxes will go up for some Americans who might be making less than $200,000.”

What? Gasp! We are shocked. Shocked, we tell you. Who ever could have foreseen the day when Barack Obama would need to backtrack on one of his campaign promises.

Why, next thing you know, he’ll hire a tax cheat to run the Treasury Department.

Democrat senator admits the obvious: ObamaCare is really about redistribution of wealth

You know, we somehow respect socialist Senator Max Baucus a little more just because he tells the truth about ObamaCare that the President won’t tell.

Baucus: Too often, much of late, the last couple three years the mal-distribution of income in America is gone up way too much, the wealthy are getting way, way too wealthy, and the middle income class is left behind. Wages have not kept up with increased income of the highest income in America. This legislation will have the effect of addressing that mal-distribution of income in America.

Got that? Mal-distribution. Not even mis-distribution. Baucus goes straight to mal-distribution.

Sort of like the mal-distribution of power in Washington, DC.

Is Max Baucus drunk with power? Or just plain stinkin’ drunk?

Watch Senator Max Baucus (D-Montana) debating ObamaCare on the floor of the senate. Then make up your own mind. We can’t actually verify that he’s drunk, but it’s been reported that he began chanting ”Toga, toga, toga” immediately after his speech.

We’d guess that Baucus checked the bill and discovered that rehab is covered.

Big Sky Democrat says Obama’s statistics are blue sky

max baucusBuried deep in the Associated Press’ excellent analysis of the president’s economic “stimulus” program was this little gem that most of the media has chosen to ignore.

Senator Max Baucus, a Montana Democrat, challenged Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner last week.

“You created a situation where you cannot be wrong,” the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee said.

“If the economy loses 2 million jobs over the next few years, you can say yes, but it would’ve lost 5.5 million jobs,” Baucus contined. “If we create a million jobs, you can say, well, it would have lost 2.5 million jobs. You’ve given yourself complete leverage where you cannot be wrong, because you can take any scenario and make yourself look correct.”
