The Thirteen Colonies deserve credit, for the good that they did, and they also deserve credit, for the bad that they did, like instituting slavery. They came here to have freedom of religion and to escape the tyranny and oppression of England, but soon after they arrived they began to oppress and enslave other men. This is the highest form of hypocrisy there is. The point being made is that there was just as much evil done as there was good, and to ignore that dichotomy, would be also be hypocrisy. A false weight or a false balance is an abomination unto the Lord. Proverbs 11:1 for some reason this new Republican Party that is suppose to be so right, wants rewrite history and ignore these truths and leave them out of our history. Case and point last summer a county down in Texas voted against teaching about Thomas Jefferson, because he had an ongoing affair with his slave mistress Sally Heming and sired seven children by her. Those that ignore the truth, will start to believe their own lies, and that is truly being blind, and so the scriptures become more evident when Jesus said, if the Blind lead blind they both fall into a ditch.
Did you hear Michelle Bachmann’s speech where she said that we all came to this country and the color of our skin didn’t matter, of course she left out that Jefferson, and Washington all owned slaves and she conveniently left out that slavery ended in under President Lincoln not the founding fathers and her spiel that our founding fathers worked tireless to end slavery is a stretch. Michelle Bachmann and Sarah Palin are stupid History revisionist. Palin’s rebuttal to President Obama’s State of The Union Address was a joke, I didn’t know that the Soviets won the space Race and that what caused them to go bankrupt. Yes they Made it into space first, but the didn’t win the space race, The United States did, Russia never made it to the moon and they finally gave up. Yeah, let these two bimbo’s Run for President in 2012, so that I can laugh at the plethora of their out of touch with reality, revisionist history they’ll use to debate with. The Republican Party is in trouble, if these two are the best they have to offer. Now concerning Contessa Brewer, yes she’s gorgeous, but I think she’s married, who ever the guy is, he’s got a great catch.
i was impressed with the audacity of Bachmann's history rewrite. I thought the twisting would end with today's Confederates claiming the Civil War had nothing to do with slavery. Bachmann just hops four score and seven years farther back to to manifest her alternate reality
I watch MSNBC and think that they have the more interesting programming and I’m sorry that Keith Olbernann has signed off for good. I think Contessa Brewer is serious about her work, I don’t watch her that often, but it does seem to me that she can take a joke, with all the lewd comments made about he here. The fact is that Contessa, is very easy on the eyes, and I think she’s a lot smarter than Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann put together. Keep up the good work Contessa Brewer, its good to see a woman who has brains and good looks, and not just good looks, like those that are that are swimming around in the Republican Party.

Actually, I have no real problem with Maine, except for the 2 RINO Senators from there. Nobody well known is from Maine, & that is why I took a shot at Maine. I say this coming from the state that elected Al Franken, & no, I did'nt vote for him.
But I will say this, to your point about the origional 13 colonies, many of them are completely infested with the cancer of progressivism. Massachusetts, Maryland, New York, Rhode Island, New Jersey, major parts of Pennsylvania, are where much of the leftist progressive movement is based. Sure, places like my state of Minnesota, Michigan, California, Washington, Illinios, & Wisonsin are as well. But the 13 colonies is where our nation was founded, & it is there they should know better then anyone why we split from the British crown. Instead, many want to be more burdonsome then that crown was.

Actually, I think I can ruin Beck's "Faith, Hope, & Charity" thing by saying that there are many strippers who use all those names. Contessa is an OK name, but there is a bit of stripper vibe to it.
