Gun and ammo sales have skyrocketed since Barack Obama swore to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America except for that pesky Second Amendment.
What’s that? You didn’t hear him say anything about the Second Amendment during the Inauguration? Well, he might not have said those exact words, but it’s pretty damn clear that’s what he was thinking.

Faced with a Congress hostile to even slight restrictions of Second Amendment rights, the Obama administration is exploring potential changes to gun laws that can be secured strictly through executive action, administration officials say.
The Department of Justice held the first in what is expected to be a series of meetings on Tuesday afternoon with a group of stakeholders in the ongoing gun-policy debates. Before the meeting, officials said part of the discussion was expected to center around the White House’s options for shaping policy on its own or through its adjoining agencies and departments — on issues ranging from beefing up background checks to encouraging better data-sharing.
Administration officials said talk of executive orders or agency action are among a host of options that President Barack Obama and his advisers are considering….
President Obama says he’s looking for some good give and take on this issue. Mostly take.

I thought I might find folks on this site who are interested in a real discussion of the issues. The preferred topic seems to be fitting objects into the orifices of people whose skin is not of the approved shade. Guess I came to the wrong venue.
You are the only one that said anything about "color", which most of us around here could care less about.
If you are interested in a real discussion all you have to do is offer an opinion and we can cuss or discuss it. But, I am telling you right now, up front and honest, if all you can do is flash the "race card" to back up your opinions you will get hammered. Excuses don't cut it in any honest debate and that includes where you were born, how poor you grew up, what "color" you are, how sad your life is because your parents neglected you, none of that crap works. You ain't the only one that has had problems in life, all of us had problems. The only difference between crybabies and adults is we adults got over it and are trying to make a better life for ourselves and our children.
Now, you want a debate? Just ask a question and we can go from there.

People take notice what and how he is attempting to circumvent the Constitution, which is clear violation to the oath of office that he took. This alone is an impeachable offense.
So the ATF and the INjustice department are implicated in what looks to be the scandal of the decade...enabling the smuggling of guns to Mexican drug cartels (leading to who knows how many deaths on both sides of the border) in what looks like an attempt to pad the statistics to justify precisely this kind of crap from the administration, a bigger budget for next year, and maybe even get congress to sign off on a new AWB....

LAS CRUCES - A police chief, a mayor, a village trustee and eight others, including a Mexican citizen, have been indicted for allegedly trafficking firearms in Doña Ana and Luna counties to Mexico, U.S. Attorney Kenneth J. Gonzales announced Thursday.
Columbus Chief of Police Angelo Vega, Columbus Mayor Eddie Espinoza and Village Trustee Blas Gutierrez are three the 11 defendants charged in the 84-count federal indictment, which was unsealed Thursday afternoon after two-county raids that began in the early hours Thursday.
"Gutierrez, Espinoza and Vega were duty sworn to protect and safeguard the people of Columbus, N.M.," said Gonzales, in announcing the indictment Thursday. "Instead, they increased the risk of harm that the people of Columbus face every day by allegedly using their official positions to facilitate and safeguard the operations of a smuggling ring that was exporting firearms to Mexico. Today's indictment reflects our unwavering resolve to ensure safety along our Southwest border and to expose and prosecute corrupt officials who seek to profit at the expense of the citizenry they are sworn to protect."
Ya think this might be one more reason to lock down our borders? To keep crooked elected officials from taking advantage of the farce called border control? Gay rights, women's pay, guns... makes me think he's just trying to keep the people from realizing they're paying more for food, energy, and $4 gas. Far as I can tell, the Republicans are laying low so things stay the same or worse so they can use it for points in 2012.
You know, what the Republicans COULD do, is make every effort to actually repair the damage caused by the last few administrations, then point to those efforts in the next election. Even if the Dems have the votes, and the veto, to stop all the efforts, at least the Republicans could point to an effort that was made.
Instead, they try to push through a measly little reduction in spending, meaningless in the grand scope of things. If they don't show themselves to be something other than RINO's, the Republicans are doomed.
The sad thing is that if the Republicans succeed Doofus in Chief will either
a) Take Credit, since we all know he said he would balance the budget in his first administration and the media will repeat whatever lie he pushes to the point that people will believe it.
b) The economy will actually recover because of the restraint imposed by the Republicans an Obama will tout this as his policies being vindicated and we will have 4 more years of unmitigated disaster. Once again, the main stream media will not only go along but will tout his brilliance.
I love my country and want it to recover but I worry that that recovery will delay a disaster of biblical proportions.
I cannot say it any better. Now, it is time for all of you posting here to do what I have been doing for a long time now. Hammer your Congressmen and Senators. Send them emails, letters via snail mail, attend every townhall meeting you can, let them know how you feel.
So far Boner, or is it Boehner, has not lived up to expectations as our House leader and I have been sending him letters and emails too. I urge everyone I know, and those I only know on the blog sites, to do the same. If "we the people" do not make our opinions known loud and clear then "we the people" will cease to exist.
I'm too old for the current bullshit to hurt me much but I have grandchildren and they are who I worry about. America gave me the chance to go from poverty to prosperity. I'm not talking rich like Bill Gates or Donald Trump, but comfortable with enough to do me and leave my children with a little.
Free enterprise, and the desire to work, allowed me to give my children the chance for a better education, and a better job, with a better income, than I ever had. That is the reason I rage on. That is the reason I give my elected representatives all the lip I can. I want my grandchildren to be able to do what my father, grandfather, all my ancestors did for us. I wnat them to be able to live free, without to much government interference, and continue the tradition of making sure our future generations have a chance to get ahead in life.
