Earth to Obama: the American people don’t want your stinkin’ healthcare plan.
Ahhh, who do we think we’re kidding. This president doesn’t give a good god damn what the American people want.
Here’s how Rasmussen describes the situation:
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows that 23% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-four percent (44%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -21. That matches the lowest Approval Index rating yet recorded for this President.
Each time the President leads a big push for his health care plan, his job approval ratings suffer. While some portions of the plan are popular, others are not. Most voters oppose the proposed Medicare savings and the taxes involved. As a result, most voters continue to oppose the legislation. Just 20% of voters believe that most Members of Congress will understand the proposed health care bill before they vote on it. From a political perspective, 50% are less likely to vote for a Member of Congress who supports the health care reform plan proposed by the President and Congressional Democrats.
Nevertheless, through outright bribery and/or threats to reveal photos of recalcitrant Democrats in compromising positions with farm animals, Obama is on the verge of having enough votes to cram this bloated pig of a bill down he throats of an unwilling electorate.
Consider this the Democrats version of democracy in action.

We must destroy obama and the democratic party and send them to hell , where they came from and where they belong ! Everyone needs to register as an democrate ( affiliation means nothing but pride and ignorance ) and vote for the second most popular democrate ( excluding obama ) in the primary elections . Then switch over and vote for the most popular independent or republican in the general elections . We the people must get control of all offices from city council , mayor and up !
KimmyQueen, I agree with you wholeheartedly, but I would add that many who did not vote for Obama did hold out hope that he would somehow 'rise' to the office. Those hopes have been shattered early and often. His attempts to 'fix' the VA Health Care system by forcing veterans with service connected disabilities to use their 'private' insurance or private insurance owned by their spouses should have been our first clue to his willful ignorance of how the health care system as a whole operated. Unfortunately the only 'track record' that his administration is developing is one of not listening to the American people, the same American people that he ignored as he drove by them this weekend.
Yeah there were a great deal of hopeful people out there for sure, however, I wasn't one of the people that hoped he would rise to the office at all. I would have been okay to be wrong in the sense that if I was wrong I would have admitted that I was wrong about him, but I never thought that he would do a good job nor that he would change his strategy like Clinton did and become more center right as time passed. I always say that I find him to be arrogant. I think he is an egoistic person of extreme measures and opposition to him instead of humbling him just made it bolder. He WANTS to be right and he wants us to agree with him even if by force.
He doesn't care about the people nor the country he cares about himself. Unless there is something deeper and darker here, that doesnt exonerate his behavior put perhaps explains it.
Glenn Beck hit a very interesting point a couple of weeks ago when he mentioned that both his father and his mother abandoned him pretty much to serve the god of socialism and communism. He didnt say it like that but that is what I got from what he said. If it is true, that he was abandoned for these philosophies and left with grandparents that weren't necessarily racially "correct" in their mentality that puts a lot of things into perspective.
It is almost as if he is trying to come to terms that this god at the core of these philosophies was worth his bizarre, complicated and perhaps sad childhood. If he has psychological issues that compel him to undermine democracy and liberty just because he wants to prove that socialism (and all other left extreme political philosophies) are right, I am very worried.
If I was abandoned by my parents so they could serve marxism and instead of staying away from it, I embrace it full force and use any power I acquire to force others to embrace it wouldn't you think I had serious problems in my head? I don't know if this is his case, but the idea is interesting nevertheless and I guess we will never know unless he says it, that his parents' abandonment for marxism exarcebated his allegiance to it to the point of ignoring the freedoms of others. It is interesting nevertheless.
I cannot believe that some Republican people were so stupid to vote for Obama "to send a message" to the Republican party. I mean that just sounds crazy. I am not a Republican but I cannot believe it. If non-Democrats voted for Obama to teach the Republican party a lesson they should have their rights to vote revoked.
Voting for someone to teach someone else a lesson is not only childish but selfish and arrogant.
I am sorry but there were MANY not few vocal critics of Obama during his campaign, it was the mass amount of ignorant people that didn't do their homework that voted this guy in. The voices of reason were there, just people wanted to hear what they wanted to hear. People like the greedy "let the government take care of me" who may have known exactly the type of guy he is before he was elected.
This is not a surprise to me, I am not dissapointed, just angry, and I marvel at the amount of people that actually believed in this guy's lies.
Ok, so all of you Republicans who voted for Obama because you wanted to send a message to the Republican party that you weren't happy with their performance: How about a letter or a call to them personally next time. Constituents complaining directly DOES has an affect on how most representatives vote. Electing Mr. Obama sentenced the whole country to a life time of peril. Even after he's gone. I guess my final questions is: How did that work out for you?
:applause:
Obama may or may not go down in history as the worst president we have ever had, but he will most certainly be remembered as our greatest disappointment. He bears no resemblance to candidate Obama, and has sadly turned out to be exactly what his few vocal critics said he was.
After watchng his speech my opinion poll of him went down some more...it's actually in negative territory now. Then throw in the Nancy and Harry love festival and it was about time to puke.
I feel like he doesn't care if he doesn't get re-elected, because he wants to leave the blueprint of Socialism in this country in the hopes that history will place him on a pedestal once socialism takes roots and works out. I believe his mind is so warped that he does believe socialism will work out and he will be in the history books as one of the most important founders of socialism in this country. He is arrogant and disgusting. I also think he is slightly insane.
Ruben-I am in 100% . I would like the title of Colonel Angus, if I may so ask for an officer's commission in this man's Army!
Let me be the first respondent to my own poll:
