We’re not big believers in the Barack Obama birth certificate issue. That being said, the controversy refuses to go away.
World Net Daily is erecting outdoor boards across the country “to raise awareness of questions surrounding the constitutional eligibility of Barack Obama to serve as president.”
The message on the boards is simple: “Where’s the birth certificate?”
The first board has already been posted in Louisiana and additional boards are planned in Los Angeles and in Pennsylvania.
“I wish such a campaign were not absolutely necessary,” Farah commented. “I wish there were checks and balances in our political and electoral systems to ensure that constitutional eligibility of presidential candidates was established before politicians could assume the highest office in the land. I wish my colleagues in the news media believed the Constitution really means what it says and pressed this issue as hard as we have pressed it at WND. I wish radio talk-show hosts were bold enough to ask this question. But wishing is not enough. It’s time to raise the visibility of this issue vital to the rule of law in America. I ask everyone to pitch in and help WND make a simple yet profound statement: The Constitution still matters.”
Only one flaw in Farah’s reasoning – it’s becoming more and more obvious that the Constitution really doesn’t matter here in ObamaLand.

That statement is patently incorrect. Since that is not going to get you or your birther pals anywhere, don't be dismayed. I suggest showing up at your local polling station in 2012 where you are free to exercise tour right to vote.

I don't get why this is an issue either. Even if obama was not born in America, he would still be an natual American citizen because he was born to and American woman. The only way he may not be an natural American citizen would be if his mother had given up her citizenship to become a citizen of another country prior to his birth. We have no evidence that ever happend. He may even have dual citizenship. That still would not negate his eligibility as far as I understand it.

Obama does not meet this criteria as his father was born in Kenya...a British subject, making him a dual citizen at birth. Unless Obama can prove that he renounced his dual citizenship (before Nov 4, 2008), he does not meet the criteria to be President. Obama is not and never will be a natural born citizen. He is a native born citizen!
Native born refers to the place of birth and natural born refers to parentage and the laws of nature...the familial bloodline of the father.
A native born citizen is one who is born in the US to foreign parents or one of the parents can transfer US citizenship according to certain stipulations at the time of birth...such as 10 years of US residency, of which 5 are after the age of 14. However, IF Obama was born outside the US, I believe that such a law was in effect when Obama was born, thus making his mother ineligible to transfer citizenship to him as she was 18 and did not meet the requirements.
There is no evidence that his mother gave up her citizenship. There is speculation that he had Indonesian citizenship (school records) through his purported adoption by Soetoro.
Of course, if you really want to throw another "theory" onto the pile, consider that another reason for not showing the long form vault copy birth certificate is that Barack Obama Sr is not listed as the father...someone else is and is US citizen. He would be a citizen, but exposed as a liar/fraud. Also, I don't think the marriage and divorce records for his parents have ever been found. Were they married at the time of birth and if not, did Hawaii stamp "ILLEGITIMATE" in red ink across the certificate like some states did? (I know someone who has that!)

Agreed. I was always taught that it didn't matter where you were born - if one of your parents was an American, you were automatically conferred American citizenship. Based on that, I don't question his citizenship. But if that's the case for Obama, why not just release the damn original birth certificate and get it over with?

I've had discussions with several people trying to explain to me this. 1) 9-11 was an inside job, and there was a massive government cover-up by George W. Bush and his cronies. And, 2) That people should just give up on the birther issue, because the government wouldn't try and cover this up. So, now, let me get this straight... If a Republican is in charge, then everything that he does is underhanded, and thus there are government cover-ups everywhere. BUT, if a Democrat is in charge, then we have nothing to worry about, because the government couldn't POSSIBLY do anything of this nature. Personally, I don't believe either is a cover-up, and to be honest, I think Barack Obama thinks it's hilarious that people are still seething over this issue.
Look, I don't know if Obama is qualified to be President because this refusal by the powers that be to show his documents only fuels the conspiracy theorists. My feeling is that this will be a very huge issue in the 2012 campaign if Obama decides to run for a second term. Something is not right with this picture and I don't know if we will ever know the real truth...because the MSM is compliant in this possible cover up. I believe the fact that Obama's father was a British subject disqualifies him from being POTUS; nevertheless, there are so many pieces of the puzzle that are still missing...

My only question is: If Obama really has a legitimate birth certificate, why in the world wouldn't he just produce it and end the controversy once and for all?
