President Obama is a study in hypocrisy. He lectures the pubic on the need for sacrifice while wasting millions of their dollars on parties. He promised the most transparent administration in our history but has delivered one of its most secretive. He defends trickle down tax hikes on the middle class by attacking the “fat cat corporations” while all the while enriching those friendly to his regime.
No wonder Obama crony Jeff Immelt gets marched out to defend the job killing effects of Obamanomics by blaming businesses for not creating enough new employment.

The head of General Electric (GE) told a jobs summit at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Monday that businesses needed to take the lead on job creation.
At a conference where many of the comments were focused on government barriers to hiring, GE Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Immelt acknowledged there needed to be some policy changes by Congress and the Obama administration. But he said that the responsibility for hiring lay with businesses.
“The people who are part of the business sector, the people in this room, have got to stop complaining about government and get some action underway,” he told the group. “There’s no excuse today for lack of leadership. The truth is we all need to be part of the solution.”
No Mr. Immelt. If the people in that room want to succeed what they’ve got to do is buddy up to Obama. That way they can get some TARP money and skip out on paying their taxes too.

LOL... In any case it is true that Immelt is a tool and for a man who made so much money on the backs of people and their work he is basically spitting on the face of people. He is disgusting.
Immelt is Obama's cheerleader and leg humping poodle. He dares to lecture ofther businesses' hiring practices when GE has laid off tens of thousands Americans in the past decade.
Steve Wynn is right, businesses are not hiring because they are afraid. They are scared of Obama Care and its requirements, they're scared of new taxes, they're scared of new regulations and they're scared of rising energy prices.
In an era of ever increasing uncertainty one response is to wait and see.
Immelt, what a tool! The man takes subsidies and TARP from the government, our money BTW, and has the chutzpah to lecture the rest of us to throw open our doors and just throw our remaining money out into the street in an effort to entice people to come in and fill out job applications, while he's kicking his workforce out the back door! I know its a tough read, but the book " Atlas shrugged"seems to be coming true. People are just not bothering to start a business, or continue them, simply because the goverment is making it unprofitable to even try. Unemployment will continue to be a huge problem as long as the communist democrats stay in power.
It is interesting becuase she really was speaking more of what had happened, but I do believe that she also knew that it will happen again and wanted people to be warned.

You all may have heard Steve Wynn's conference call but I think he captures the sentiment of a lot of business owners. Immelt's GE and other large companies have moved millions of jobs off shore (http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2011/04/19/159555/us-corporations-outsourced-americans/) so he certainly is part of the problem.
