Inappropriate title: Obama’s “Green Jobs Czar” is admitted communist

Van Jones Communist Green Jobs Czar

One would think it newsworthy if the President of the United States appointed an admitted communist to a key position in his administration. Wouldn’t one?

Then how can it be explained that the media has given virtually no attention to the political beliefs of Van Jones, the man President Obama has named “Green Jobs Czar”?

Jones is William Ayers without the bombs. He’s the ultimate watermelon: green on the outside, red on the inside.

Here’s how the East Bay Express described the Van Jones’ background:

[Van] Jones had planned to move to Washington, DC, and had already landed a job and an apartment there. But in jail, he said, “I met all these young radical people of color — I mean really radical, communists and anarchists. And it was, like, ‘This is what I need to be a part of.'” Although he already had a plane ticket, he decided to stay in San Francisco. “I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary.” In the months that followed, he let go of any lingering thoughts that he might fit in with the status quo. “I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th,” he said. “By August, I was a communist.”

And Van Jones is a member in good standing of the Obama administration, one of “czars” appointed by Obama who reports only to Obama and who, therefore, never had to withstand the rigors of a senate confirmation process.

Network television news? Hello? Hello? Hello? Anybody out there?

    • Van Jones is an anti-American dirtbag as far as I'm concerned. He should be nowhere near the levers of power.

  • I understand why you don't want more state power. Politicians and bureaucrats don't have our best interests at heart no matter who they are.

But its a false dichotomy to say that we must either be ruled by government or by corporations.

There is another way. Another world is possible.

We could run our society and economy together democratically from the bottom up not top down. People could freely form into groups based on mutual agreement and elect recallable delegates to larger organizations and groups could freely associate together. No coercion, no force (besides self-defense), just people getting together to cooperate for the common good or you could be a hermit if you want because everyone would be free. Nobody would be forced to do things by states or bosses. People would form groups freely to distribute resources and help defend each other from violent crime.

Why not? Is the current arrangement working? The politicians and the bosses are cooperating with each other. They are not two different sides. Obama is trying to stir up an oil war in Iran and is promoting "clean coal" lies to help corporate bosses and bankers make more money. Bosses don't care about the workers. They cut their pay, while they sit behind their desks while the workers do all the work. And politicians and bureaucrats don't care about the people either. They just want to keep their cushy job.

    • You mean, like, obeying the Constitution? That's the way our forefathers envisioned it. Except for hating the boss. My boss works his butt off for his paycheck, and when I was a boss, I did the same.

  • I've raised the same argument about VJ being an admitted communist to the liberals and their response is, "Yes but in that same article he said he later renounced his communistic beliefs as well as those of Black nationalism in favor of a more moderate approach." In the words of their President, "You can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig."

  • I am a 66 year old republican. In all my life I have never heard the word,"racist" and the word "communist" used so much.To the democrats, I am a racist. You democrats think that a communist is a fine upstanding person of inteligence. Through my life , if you had any thing to do with a communist, you would be arrested, and questioned by the athorities. Now, as to your favorite word "RACIST". There is another word that republicans use and you might try to learn it,it is "patriot" . Your word " racist" is getting kind of old and boring, but our word :PATRIOT: will never ever get old.And now for that word 'COMMUNIST" well if the shoe fits, where it.

  • Here's a comment from someone at Reddit on this story. It's so typical of the children there. If any of you are reading this, I know you don't read history books, because history is so last year, so why don't you try this novel I just finished up called Child 44. It might open your eyes up to the horrors of communism.

It's not against the law to be a communist! It's a legitimate party/belief. Not my cup of tea but it does not hurt me. Are you that fucking paranoid? I fear the Repubs and former Bushies more!

  • Van Jones, Communist, Obama Green Jobs Czar, quotes:

Speaking to the East Bay Express, Jones said he first became radicalized in the wake of the 1992 Rodney King riots, during which time he was arrested.

"I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th," he said. "By August, I was a communist."

"I met all these young radical people of color – I mean really radical: communists and anarchists. And it was, like, 'This is what I need to be a part of.' I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary," he said.

  • Not a surprise. A good portion of what became FDR's administration were academics who were communist sympathizers, visited Russia on a junket and met with Stalin. All I can say is second verse same as the first.
