You have to be a bit of an egomaniac to be a politician. In fact, it may be an absolute requirement.
GQ, once known as Gentleman’s Quarterly, is about as far to the left as a publication can get. So, naturally, when they decided to do a “Men of the Year” issue, they also decided to feature Barack Obama. Not just as Man of the Year, mind you, but as Leader of the Year. And they filled the cover of the magazine with his huge, smiling mug.
That, of course, makes it even funnier that President Ego-bama was caught carrying the magazine.
Not that it’s surprising. After all, Barack Obama is Barack Obama’s favorite topic.

He's on all these covers. Don't these photo shoots take time? Where does he get the time?
Sadly for him, he can only golf 18 holes once a week, rather than twice.
We should appreciate his sacrifices.
Obviously Obama took Whitney Houston's lyrics of the Greatest Love of All a little to heart.
Yes learning to love yourself is a good thing but this is a bit ridiculous.
Is there a magazine cover BO hasn't been on? Oh yes, the Economist and Mad Magazine.

Everyone is wailing about jobs and the economy while our president struts around in a fog of self love. But what about our culture? Young girls pay $500 dollars for jeans with holes in them. They all have bones in their noses and tattoos on their butts while the young men wear their pants around their knees. Our deepest thinkers are named M and M or 50 Cent. The melody in music has been replaced by lyrics about cop killing. Michael Jackson is the new Elvis. Vampires and Mummies have replaced Tracy and Bogart. The dollar is the new nickel and Adam Lambert is the new Frank Sinatra. Diversity is more important than integrity,and political correctness has replaced the constitution. Lots of luck America.

I have listened to that music, however I realize it is music...many people in this country cannot distiguish between reality and reality TV.
I cannot blame society for this sort of thing...I blame individuals for not being smart enough to be able to make decisions on their own...Which probably goes back to the kids parents...

The incessant need for adulation (and SELF-adulation) is beyond human comprehension! I am reminded of West Side Story (SNL take note...I want proper credit when you do the skit! LOL!) when Maria sings,

If you've forgotten most of the lyrics like I have, go and take a peek...you just might die of laughter when you realize those words have more meaning today in regard to Obama's self love than they ever did for "Maria".
