It’s so sad, really. The love affair that started with such heat has now cooled. Just 13 months ago, Obama cooed in Arlen Specter’s ear that he was “one tough hombre.”
Earlier this year, is became apparent that Obama was no longer returning Specter’s phone calls.
And now, sadly, the relationship that seemed so rock solid seems to have fallen apart. It’s election day, 2010. Arlen, meet bus.

I was just looking at results and it looks like Arlen will only win one or two counties....
Wanna guess which way the Welfare City...aka Philly...is voting?
I'm looking forward to the day, ~10 years from now when I can say, "Son, switching teams mid-game is always a bad idea. We learned that lesson from Arlen Specter."
And he will reply, "Who's Arlen Specter?"
Spector obviously thought the Dems would come to the rescue, they could give a crap about him as he's no longer a useful idiot.

It was sooooo lame.
Specter doesn't have a snowball's chance of winning, so Obama isn't interested in wasting his time on him. I love how the Democrats turn on their own when the chips are down.
Call it selective, er, elective memory.
I just voted about an hour ago and at our polling place there were NO Dems handing out information like they normally do.
Hopefully, after today's primary election, Arlen can start that septic tank pumping business and start to make up for all the crap he's spewed during his political career.

He does look like a specter. I am glad he survived but he still looks sick. I think he should just let it go and just retire and enjoy the rest of his life with his family. Everyone knows that he will not make it it would have been better had he saved himself the embarrassment.
