Remember the good ol’ days when Barack Obama was ratings gold for the networks? Was it really less than two years ago? Well, in the words of Bob Dylan, the times they are a changin’.
The Orlando Sentinel has the recent ratings revelations:
Friday was not a good night for President Barack Obama in the ratings. He got a shellacking there, too, to follow the one in the midterm elections.
His conversation with Barbara Walters placed second in total viewers to a rerun of CBS’ “Blue Bloods” and third in the 10 p.m. time slot in the 18-to-49 age group. On that count, Obama was behind Tom Selleck and NBC’s broadcast of the fantasy film “Enchanted.”
The Walters interview averaged 5.7 million viewers for ABC. The “Blue Bloods” repeat, the second of two Friday night, pulled in 7.6 million for CBS.
Seriously. What was ABC thinking? What question could Barbara Walters possibly ask Barack and Michelle Obama that hasn’t been asked and evasively not answered a thousand times?

Is the media so disconnected that they really think the 18-49 groupd is clustered around the tube on Friday night during the Christmas shopping/party season? Puleeze. They need to start aiming shows at the older people who actually have responsibilities and work for a living, so stay home on Fridays (unless its football night in the south. Then even THEY Are gone.)
He said he doesn't think about Sarah Palin. People may say that is very elitist and arrogant of him and I am sure he is... however I would guess that he thinks rather of her husband Todd...

I haven't watched the ABC/NBC/CBS group since the mid-1990's. I see I haven't missed anything.
