Imagine the hurt President Obama felt when he heard that his leftist compadre, Bolivian President Evo Morales, said the Nobel committee should revoke his Peace Prize.
But this brave, resolute man continues to look forward and responds to such suggestions with a determined, “Screw you.”
Politico reports on President Obama’s rousing defense of those who gave him an award he clearly didn’t deserve:
President Obama defended his Nobel Peace Prize on Tuesday …
“When I received that award, I specifically said there was an irony because I was already dealing with two wars,” Obama said in an interview with CNN from El Salvador. “So I am accustomed to this contradiction of being both a commander-in-chief but also someone who aspires to peace.”
Saying he is focused on ensuring that Libyans can “live out their own aspirations,” Obama defended America’s involvement in Libya, saying, “we’re not invading a country, we’re not acting alone – we’re acting under a mandate issued by the United Nations Security Council in an unprecedented fashion and with unprecedented speed.”
And he said again that the U.S. military has already saved lives there. “I think the American people don’t see any contradiction in somebody who cares about peace also wanting to make sure that people aren’t butchered because of a dictator who wants to cling to power,” he said.
Let’s review: Hasn’t pulled out of Iraq, ordered more troops into Afghanistan, and launched airstrikes on Libya.
Add ‘em all together and your Nobel Peace Prize becomes an ignoble peace prize.

they should just re-name it the,"NOBEL PUTZ PRIZE"!
Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize because he wasn't George Bush, he was the anti-George Bush who would bring peace to the world and heal the planet. But it didn't quite work out that way, now Obama is running three wars and Gitmo while an unhealed planet is quaking. Being a messiah is a tough business.
He also won for being the country's first black President. The liberal body of the Nobel committee felt he deserved it for overcoming such a racist country and prevailing.
but how racist could the country be SINCE he was after all, elected?

Oh they're out there.. I gotta fight them in my extended family, lest they poison my kids.. and everyone i know has their pocket racists among kinfolk. Most of them are older, and most of them are gonna die within a generation.
Regardless, the majority voted for him for whatever reason and the color of his skin was not a negative. Those that voted for him because he is Black, and those that voted for him because he was not George Bush or whatever else reason there was to vote for him. So I don't understand how a country can be as a whole BOTH racist for NOT liking him when he is a messed up President, yet NOT racist for voting for him in the first place. I just don't get it.

Why would he return it, he's kept everything else that he has ever gotten unethically.
Without a doubt he gave them money to some worthy charity like the Chicago machine or to the obama off shore banking account.
Surely the selection committee is now kicking themselves in the balls for giving him the peace prize.
He can't give it back because he doesn't have it anymore. Didn't he say he was going to give it all to charity? Probably donated all of it to build the ground zero mosque.
Received the award after 9 days in Office, the " kinetic potential " obama and his presidency are destroying America. On his ninth day in office I remember him wondering what his "Legacy" was going to be. I was stunned. Since I have gotten to know him though he no longer has that ability.
