In the same week that Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano announced that her department was going to review the cases of 300,000 illegal aliens in deportation proceedings and allow “low priority” cases to stay in the country and receive work permits — a move House Judiciary Chairman Lamar Smith called a “back door amnesty” — President Barack Obama’s approval dropped to an all-time low of 44 percent among Hispanics, according to Gallup polling data released today.
That is a drop of 41 points from the spring of 2009, when Obama’s approval among Hispanic Americans peaked at 85 percent (in the weeks that ended April 26, 2009 and May 17, 2009).
Obama’s approval among Hispanics dropped 5 points last week alone, falling from 49 percent in the week that ended Aug. 14 to its new low of 44 percent in the week that ended Aug. 21.
Down 41 points? That doesn’t sound like a poll, it sounds like the halftime score at a Los Angeles Clippers game.

I respect the immigrants that come here legally and toil through their blood, sweat and tears and money to become legal Americans. I am proud to stand beside these people and I don't mind helping them in their endeavers because they are now one of my fellow Americans. I became friends with several immigrants that were serving in our military during the Viet Nam war. We faught side by side in that war and we were brothers. They automatically became American citizens when they finish their tour. It's sad that some of them were killed fighting for our government in that war. They gave their lives to become FREE American citizens. I honor them. I've yet to hear of an illegal immigrant making any sacrifices like this. They just want to rob/scam the American taxpayer and I've watched them laugh about it. That boils my blood.
I remember in 2007 on C-span , hearing a Women's Latina's conference . A question was asked about the 3 to 1 ratio of latino men in prison versus latino men in college . Was there any idea's about how this could be changed ? The latino women's answer was , " We're trying to repel the 3 strikes you're out law . " Nothing about making strides in bettering their people. Just trying to get laws repelled against those that commit felonies.
The leadership's view on the tradistional family is mostly outside the view that most latino's families hold. Father / Mother / children = Families. Not the bastardised view being crammed down America's throat.
At that point , I realized that the leadership was out of touch with their people. Promoting more and more lawlessness is never going to better anyone. Thankfully this is the leadership and I believe not the general view of those Hispanics that are actually trying to do things right.

My grandparents came here with their parents in the early part of the 20th century. They all learned the language and became citizens. It was the proudest day of their lives when they were naturalized. Too many people take citizenship for granted and the illegals are only proud when they get their government checks.
