Can you imagine how embarrassed the Queen of England must be every time her dullard son opens his mouth?
Now the King of Hypocrites has enlisted a bunch of celebrities – including Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, the Dalai Lama, and soccer legend Pele – for a YouTube commercial that promotes Prince Chuck’s campaign to save the rainforest.
They all get together in a 90-second celebratory circle jerk to raise awareness for the need to stop tropical deforestation.
Just as this campaign was being launched, Prince Chuck, the lovely Duchess of Cornwall and their 14-person entourage flew a chartered private jet on a 16,400 mile round trip to Chile, Brazil and Ecuador to check out the rainforest for themselves. The whole shebang cost more than $450,000.
Hypocritical? No, no, no, no, no. Prince Chuck says he’s buying carbon offsets.
Anybody know where we can buy $450,000 worth of bullsh*t offsets?

Prince Charles is an appaling role model, he is so stuck up and such a annoying corrupt c--t! Totally unqualified for anything and yet he somehow thinks he knows it all, on whatever subject that randomly catches his eye.
The guy is an hypocritical twat and really is motivated by nothing more than greed, the same as the rest of his evil and corrupt family. Thinks he's better than the rest of humanity because he's born into money and has rich friends; mainly Arab despots, paedophiles and the like.
F--K HIM!! (but make sure to wear a condom as he's infected with something evil)
At least princes Charles have a slightly longer attention span than his fellow eco nuts, today, most of the "ecologically conscious" only cares about global warming.
What da heck happened to the blue whales and the amazonian jungle? Oh right, it isn´t trendy anymore. It is kinda harder to press the taxpayers for tropical rainforests than CO2 too, even when you use liberal double think.
Remember this, folks, support global warming = support the rainforest.
Don´t be fooled by the propaganda, a few degrees celsius more would, overall, actually help the human specie.
Yep, the frog is fake:

Guyana Gyal, it's not that I believe we should wipe out the rainforests... I just think it's ridiculous that these celebrities make ads like this when they are literally doing NOTHING to help (except just talking about it). They think flying around in private jets (but "offsetting" their CO2 emissions by planting a few trees or paying for carbon credits) is actually making a difference? That is completely asinine.
And global warming hysteria is so completely blown out of proportion! Scientists are now saying that we are entering into another ice age. That blew a huge hole in Al Gore's fear-mongering tactics... so now he calls it "climate change." No, it's just baloney and he knows it. (He won't go on TV to debate global-warming skeptics/scientists because he knows he'll come out looking like a fool.) I'm all for having restrictions on pollution, but I don't believe that humans have permanently damaged the planet to the point that we are all going to burn to a crisp in 20 years. In fact, I don't believe "global warming" or "climate change" is a result of humans at all! Climatologists and Paleoclimatologists have said that this is all cyclical. This is nature taking its course.
Celebrities seem to have a tough time telling truth from fiction... which is why they go out of their way to help these kinds of causes. Like KathyMary said... this is just like the priests of the Middle Ages saying -"Do as I say, not as I do!"
You might want to read some more, if you think rainforests are not endangered.
Here's my view of things, living in a rainforest country: http://sapodilla.blogspot.com/2009/05/prince-james-bond-dalai-lama.html
I hope it does matter, and that ordinary folks will add their voices.
GGyal, that life isn't a bunch of causes. These people live for causes. Lets save the Rain forests...Lets save little owls...lets save the planet....lets save the oceans....lets save the atmosphere.
I don't. I can't. I am not sure I even care to do so. I am concerned about my family, our savings, our work and our duty to each other. I have a quiet life. I am not rich but I am not poor. I don't live for causes. I live for God, myself and the people around me. My meaning is found in my work and duty towards God and others. NOT causes.
If I was going to save anything or anyone - It would be the aborted unborn. That I can believe in. I believe every human being that is conceived has a right to come to term. I did.
I could not save the rain forests even if I wanted to. They belong to other people, not to me. If I bought a rainforest I might be able to save it. I do not believe I have the right to tell other people what to do with their rain forests. No more than they have a right to tell me what to do with my backyard. The people who live for causes are looking for meaning and something to do with their lives. They feel empty and worthless, the cause and the thoughts about the cause fills them up, some.
I have both meaning and duty, already.
The rainforests matter? Sure, but so do people. I love people more than I love forests. Most of the people that live in and near rainforests are some of the poorest of the poor. Their lives are awful. They suffer and die from disease and privation. They are harvesting their rainforests to make money to support their families or to clear the land to build farms. I totally support their need to improve their lives. They have a right to harvest and clear the land that they own.
Amen KathyMary... I feel EXACTLY the same way!
These people who want to save the trees don't feel the same way about the lives of unborn children. How messed up is that? When you know God, you have perspective and meaning in your life. When you don't, you look for causes to support to give your life some meaning. You've made an excellent point.
Janna - short answer - yep.
ONE: I want to emphasize, again - Please underline this, People matter more than trees. When I was young I went through my pastoral period in poetry .. "ah, wouldn't the world be lovely without people" - and, all that rubbish. (God straightened me out.) Grew out of it, also- it's just a stage. Earth without people is just a spinning rock circling a star. With people it knows it exists, it is self-aware. (don't take that too literally, necessarily.)
Without people the universe would just be atoms spinning about. WE are the mind, eyes, ears and heart of the universe & this planet. The soul of the universe. God made us and put us here for a reason.
TWO - to feel more for a frog than you do for the South American children who starve to death because their parents have no income is just plain Heartless stupidity.
THREE:To go down there and tell the South Americans how to use their natural resources when most of them are in great need is arrogance writ LARGE. How dare we tell the South Americans they can't harvest their resources as they see fit? They are in GREAT need.
FOUR: If The King of England really cares why doesn't he buy up some land in S.A. and employ the natives to patrol and keep it pristine? Do it silently - when you serve mankind your right hand shouldn't know what your left is doing.
FIVE: there is nothing beautiful about a hard, painful, short life in a hard, difficult, challenging environment. The idealism about prehistoric living really needs to end. Life in the rainforests is dangerous. It doesn't take a lot of reading to come to this conclusion. I do wish liberal idealists would just TRY to live the way the poor have to live JUST ONE DAY OF THEIR LIVES. They would decide a frog's life isn't as important as their own.
Yep, I am a female, so you got it right. ;)
That frog just looked a little too "animated"... with perfect timing on each movement and "ribbit." Know what I mean?
Maybe they used a fake frog so as to not traumatize any real frogs. They should've ended the PSA with a disclaimer saying, "No actual frogs were harmed in the making of this advertisement." ;) Then their nutjob animal rights activist friends could breathe a huge sigh of relief and continue hugging their trees.
Thought so. (-:
Definite need of a disclaimer. Maybe in Kermit's voice? LOL Loved the phrasing of your post, really did. If you are not easily offended watch the South Park episode "Rain forest, Shmainforest", season Three.

It is a well-placed arrow right for the heart of the whole rain forest craze.
Kathy insight of the day :
Find your glory in the insults hurled at you by your enemies.
Is that frog even real?
I find it hilarious that these people spend SO much time feigning interest in causes like this (yet doing absolutely NOTHING to proactively make the changes they are claiming to care about). It's all to make them feel better about themselves... to say, "I care about the rain forests enough to go on TV and tell people I do." But then, like you said, they fly around in their private jets, drive around in their fancy cars, and live in multiple homes throughout the world... ALL of which pollute the earth with a great deal of CO2 emissions. But buying carbon offsets makes a difference? Does that mean the earth only likes the pollution you pay for? Give me a break!
How do they expect to stop "man-made global warming" if only America and Britain are making a big stink about it? China couldn't care less, Russia couldn't care less, and that goes for the rest of the world as well. So WE have to pay for carbon offsets and that's supposed to save the planet? That changes nothing... except it means we'll have smaller pay checks.
You know, Janna, smart girl !!! (taking it for granted you are a female, if not, sorry!) I thought about that also. Think about what we know of amphibians.. they must be kept damp or they dry out, they have far thinner skins than we do, no sweat glands, if I remember correctly - I would think they couldn't pass this cute little frog from person to person without killing it..amphibians are rather fragile and some of the those people live hundreds of miles from one another, perhaps even thousands, also, that frog seems far too perfect, no individualism or naturalism..no, Nothing really natural about it... a little like the prince of England, I suspect!
What kind of frog is it supposed to be? Species, genus, continent of origin? (I wonder if it is a toad, instead, sorry, zoology isn't one of my enthusiasms!) .. all those people were under very hot lights producing that advertisement -- I would think any real frog would quickly be dead meat (profane but honest) . (excepting dear Kermit!)
I do more in a day for the environment by living simply, in a small house and errand-walking than those princes have done in their entire lives. Like the priests of the Middle Ages -'do as I say not as I do!'
It is all about being popular, one of the crowd, being loved and accepted by your contemporaries. Oh oh, oh, - not being a FRINGE element. (-;
I like being fringe. Fringe enhances and finishes, fringe comes first and last.
LOL LOL
Please tell me this civilization is ending ... even if it means I end with it.. put us out of our misery! Rich spoiled people that have more money than sense waste time and money getting all emotional about rain forests. We need an invasion of dragons or space aliens or just a really big asteroid just to give these people something real to do! Put us out of our misery, please! Carbon credits ? what a bunch of foolishness! Get off your high-horse, Prince, you are embarrassing your ancestors. Next time walk to South America.
This is what happens when people don't have anything REAL to worry about. They find stupid causes. Liberals = people who live for causes because mere survival has become too easy.
Al Gore, duke of doom and Charles, prince of posers should form a same Rex marriage.
