Poor Rahm. The little guy (5’ 4” in his booster shoes) went to a train station in Chicago on Monday morning, stood tall and proud and greeted the voters of Chicago as they went off to do something he’s never done – an honest day’s work.
The voters showed about as much enthusiasm as you’d expect them to show for the little thug behind the Thug in Chief.

I hate the media, of course, and I hate that our current elected officials are doing such an awful thing to the country. I harbor great animosity towards the executive branch and so this little wad gets a piece of that pie.
BUT- I read something about him awhile back that got me to laugh at something the president said due to the actual humor, not because I would cry if not for the laughter. Ob said that this little putz (my words) lost a middle finger in his youth while working at a butcher shop or something, and that that incident left him practically half mute.

I don't think he will get that fixed. He pissed a lot of people off with his ego -- who does he think he is that he can just announce he wants to run for mayor and walk away with it? I don't think he paid off the right people at the right time, and in Chicago, you gotta pay before you play. If he'd paid on time, this issue never would have come up. Someone else is supposed to get that job. Just waiting to see who it is.
I smell a rat leaving a sinking ship at the first opportunity so that the stink of the nations first totally failed presidency doesn't stick to him. (As much as I detested Carter, he still wasn't the abject failure this one was -- Carter may have been an ineffective idiot, but at least he pretended like he had good intentions.)

You notice he never mentions his name? You know, the usual "I'm (state your name) and I'm running for (state the position or office).
A couple of observations: 1) Rham's residency problem will be promptly "fixed". 2) The people of Chicago might not like Rahm but they'll vote for him, but if they won't, plenty of dead people will.
I think Obama wants Rham as mayor of Chicago for the 2012 Presidential elections, those dead voters may be the difference between victory and defeat.
Poor little Rahmmie. As of Monday 4 Oct there was sitll a question as to his eligibility for running for Mayor due to the residencey requirement.
Although he owns a house in Illinois, pays property taxes on it and has voted by Illinois absentee ballot he may still not be eligible to run.
The house he owns has been rented since he moved to Washington and he has not resided in it since that time - well over a year. Simple ownership and tax payment do not equal residency. He could just as easily be considered an absentee-landlord. As to voting by absentee ballot - even the dead can vote by absentee ballot in Chicago.
