Rick Sanchez isn’t the worst ideologue on CNN, but day in and day out, he is the most annoying and uninformed.
Here he interrupts a discussion of the potential size of a tidal wave in Hawaii by asking, “By the way, nine meters in English is?”
Either he doesn’t know how long a meter is or he thinks you don’t know.
Lesson to be learned: Don’t go using that fancy, new Euro-speak on Rick Sanchez.

Rick Sanchez does it again. This guy is great. I stopped watching CNN when Lou Dobbs left but I was channel surfing and ran across another comedy routine with Rick Sanchez. I bet even Sheriff Joe knows the answer to this one. Anyway, Rick interrupts a discussion of the potential size of a tidal wave in Hawaii by asking, “By the way, nine meters in English is?” Either he doesn’t know how long a meter is or he doesn’t know how long a meter is. Most everyone knows a meter is about the same unit of length as a yard. A meter is just the basic unit of length in the International System of Units. There are 39.37 inches in a meter.
So Rick, a meter is a little longer than a yard? I guess the lesson learned here is : Don’t be using non a that fancy international talk around her on CNN. By the way, comparing yourself to Woodward and Bernstein?? That was great, I could not stop laughing. It was like your not bothering to do any checking about the statements that Limbaugh is accused of saying? I love watching you interview anyone and one minute later you have to completely abandon your talking point. Keep up the great comedy, Rick, Hey CNN, I think a drug test is in order.
Duh - a meter in English IS a meter. England uses the metic system, thus his question in redundent. It should have been, how many FEET is 9 meters? Stupid journalists.
Not only does Rick Sanchez not know how long a meter is, but he asks how long is it in English. Later he pointed to the Galapagos Islands off the coast of Chile and referred to them as Hawaii!!!!!!!!!
